How to download OS 4.5 for the 8310 Curve
Go to - na.blackberry.com/eng/
Click on the “Support†section
Click on the “Downloads†section
Click on “Blackberry Device and Desktop Softwareâ€Â
Click on “Download Blackberry Device and Desktop Softwareâ€Â
From the drop down box, selece “Blackberry Desktop Software v4.6â€Â
Click Next
A list of download options will appear. You will be selecting either the 3rd or 4th one down this list. The 3rd option is without the Blackberry Media Manager and the 4th one is with the Blackberry Media Manager. (The media manager is used to manage all of your media such as pictures, music, etc.)
Click the highlighted download button of your choice...

I thought the Curve had the video capture ability already? If not then I know it is in the 4.5 OS. Search on BBForum or take a gander at the Crackberry.com forums. I know there is info there. I had a Pearl and running 4.5 for a few days until I took it back because of the slow data speeds with Edge. I'm just too used to HSPA speeds.

The Curve 8310 comes with 4.2. The pearl with 4.3 has video capture. Currently with At&t as far as I know, you can not get 4.5 os. I've posted to date the carriers in the U.S. that have released their 4.5 os'. You can load anothers onto your device by removing the XML file, but it is a little glitchy. For instance, I can't set up an outgoing email on my device currently. Blackberry still only offers 4.2 under OS downloads for the curve devices.

the trick is - after you download it - go to C:>my computer>program files>common files>research in motion>app loader
when you get there delete the vendorxml file (there are two xml files... only delete the vendor one).
Next time you start your desktop manager you'll be asked if you want to update your device.
**screwing this up could leave your device FUBAR - so BE CAREFUL!!
