I guess it depends on if you ABSOLUTELY need the email reliability of the blackberry? If not then I would say stick with the Iphone.

I would consider moving phones to the BB Bold or the Nokia E71, mainly for the real QWERTY keyboard, and camera with flash. The iPhone camera is a really bad joke.

I use GMail, so I can get the mail via web page rather than push if needed.

The hard part of leaving an iPhone is that most things are one-touch simple. I have tried moving to the Nokia N95 and the HTC Touch Pro within the last few days. I really had a hard time with the N95, so I am weary of trying the E71. The Touch Pro was on the Sprint (non-existent) network. I had full signal at the store, and no signal at my house, plus the Wi-Fi strength was 50% even neer my router.

We can ding the iPhone for what it does not have or do, but it does do alot of things well.

Hi beergirl!
Do you or anyone else have any information on the HTC TouchPro release date for AT&T? I currently have a Treo 755p on Sprint and have been waiting on this phone since its announcement 🤤 . It was suppose to be today (Nov. 4th) according to several sites but no announcements yet.
thanks.

we got ours in today. It's called the Fuze, but it's essentially the same thing as the touch pro.

I'm in love. I may dump blackberry for this phone. Although it weighs something like 5.7 oz.

It really just depends on what you use your phone for. If you want an entertainment based device for music, browsing the web, and fun to use applications then I'd say stick with the iphone. If you use your phone primarily for making calls, text, and email then I'd say go with the blackberry. The internet experience will also be a lot closer to the iphone with the bold than older BB models. For me personally I like the bold. But for the mass user most will choose the iphone because its a status symbol.

With a $199 price tag, I really don't see the iPhone as a "status" symbol anymore. I guess when it was $600 for the original you could call it that but $200 doesn't put the phone out of most f...

The edge goes

to the Storm. Get an I Phone and a BB Bold all wrapped up into one, with more robust features and access to the nations largest 3g netork. Plus rumor has it the Storm is launching for $99.

or you can stay on ATT network and depend on a wi fi signal to get connection, buy apps to do things VZW phones can do out the box, and get racked on MB charges ( VZW= $1.99 per MB and you guys know how much you charge LMAO...not even a contest ) and since our BB package for internet is the same as att, why not get the best bang for your buck. SInce att only has 3g coverage in less than 30% of America, and VZW has it in about 83%, the choice is simple.

Best BB ever, Biggest Network and MOst Subscribers.

BB Storm FTW.

get educated. One , the price tag is what I said it is, sorry for bursting ur bubble but you know nothing. It is 169.99 with a 70 MIR so that equals 99 bucks.

Second you can edit , create and view all Microsoft word, excel , power point documents . I should know. I am using one right now.

The BB does use the same touch technology an I Phone uses but steps it up with SurePress. Again do some sort of research as you are maing yourself look worse and worse as this goes along..

And I am typing on one right now, it is the beauty of being one of the best in this company. I just installed the OperaMini Beta on it, so dont bring ur crippled Treo, I would crush it in every aspect.

And I can read just fine, apparently so can you. So when...

Its kind of funny that this argument is going on, for two reasons, I see more and more businessmen with iphones now, i don't know why, and if there is one thing people hate in my industry the most is the moment where there boss says "go ahead and get yourself a blackberry."

getting a blackberry in the oilfield equipment industry is the kiss of death, you no longer have free time and means that you are now no longer able to say I was away from my computer when you sent that email.

Everyone i know dreads that moment and treat it like they are waiting to hear they have cancer.

Swear to God. I work for an extremely large company and you spend your time avoiding that moment.

Well yeah, because it has that neat Gadget factor, don't get me wrong RIM makes good phones, just not always user friendly phones, they have the worst navigation, at least on the three I had, and i hear not much has changed. I had the Curve too so I know not much has changed. I haven't played with the iphone long enough to have a real good opinion of it, especially when I read mix reviews.

WOW you have been so mislead. The STORM is a waist of time. So if the iphone. I used to bash the iphone, without having any experience on it. But I used one this weekend and hated it. There is no one touch functionality on it at all... It is so hard to make a phone call or start a text. Also good luck trying to drive and maneuver around without crashing your car. Its not gonna happen. Then the email aspect. You can't even compare the email on an iphone to a blackberry. Yes you say well it works great through exchange server, sure a lot of stuff works well if you have a better system for it. But BB offers the exchange capability without having to pay for the extra costs of having an exchange.

As for VRZ having a better 3G network and more...

If you are one of those jackasses texting and typing emails while you are driving, I hope crash your car into a river before you kill someone else. Anyone who who bitches about not being able to text and drive should have their license permanently revoked.

No. No they don't. Bad drivers and morons text while they are driving. That's like saying "everyone drinks and drives... get over it"... No, they don't. Reality will actually catch up with you when you crash your car into someone, maybe kill them because you are an infantile teenager that can't go 2 minutes without texting buddies. Here's a thought. Try actually using the cell the CALL them when you are in the car. That's at least safer than texting.

I wonder if that ass of a train engineer would agree with you after killing all those people while texting. Oh, I guess you can't ask him because he's dead too.

Whatever... Statistics say 80% of wireless users text more then they call... That is why carriers offer texting for so cheap. I don't know anyone who can say they don't ever text and drive. I'm not a teenage. I would have to agree with thegodfather in saying you have no life and all you do is troll these things and say stupid crap. Get a life man and realize times have changed. People are stupid and do stupid things while they drive, you can't help that. So why don't you get made at the mom that tried to put on her makeup while driving or the corp man trying to read a report. Its called a fast pace life.

I don't care who you "agree" with, it's still stupid. You are as bad as a drunk driver. If times are changing to where it's socially acceptable to text and drive, then it will probably result in even more deaths than drunk driving.

I'd love for you to have this conversation with someone who's had a family member killed by someone texting and driving. Perhaps they would feel better when you told them, like me, to just grow up and get a life.

You are pathetic. You may not be a teen, but you sure think like one... 🙄

Ok. I have actually had a family member killed by a drunk driver and I know several people who have family members killed in accidents. So don't try and preach to me. I know what happens everyday out in our world. I am saying the iphone sucks and navigating. If you would be a real forum poster and not a troll you would read it and either agree with the fact thats its hard to navigate while not looking or say I disagree it is very easy to navigate around. Instead you try and attack me personally about the fact of texting and driving. If this were a drivers safety forum maybe it would be ok but its not it is a cell phone forum so get a life and go attack a drunk at a bar or someone else. Get a life.

Ok. And what exactly makes me a troll in the AT&T forum? Is that just the word we are all going to use now when we don't like what someone has to say? If you've actually had a family member killed by a drunk of any other kind of negligent driver then you have my sympathies. It would seem that if it had any sort of impact on you that you would not want to put anyone else's family members at risk by doing something that is just as stupid and idiotic as drinking and driving. Furthermore, I'd think you wouldn't even have to argue with me about the dangers of it.

Call me a troll if you like, but that's better than being a "road hazard".

Hahaha. You guys post "get a life". You truly revel the teens that you are because seriously, only kids...

wrong. it is not opinion it is a fact that VZW has the LARGEST 3g network in the business.

And BB Storm has a virtual physical keyboard. Check it out on phonearena. or better yet, try one. BB is too smart of a company to not understand what it is that made them succesful. They are not going to go the route of Apple and have such an inaccurate touch screen for messaging when their devices rely so heavy on the messaging.

I am using one. When I am typing right now it feels like I am using a regular keyboard, it pushes back on my finger and the keypad is perfect for guys and gals to cruise 1000 times faster than the I phone or Instinct. Typing an email on my Storm is like typing on my comp. I am flying through it and no errors whatsoever, ...

What source of the FACT you are talking about VRZ having a bigger network?

As for the touch screen keyboard. Your body will never build up a muscle memorization to the screen. It has nothing to memorize there for you will never be as good on the as you will a regular keyboard its just not possible.

source of fact: JD Powers and Associates, NY Times Technology and even your own company, ATT, on their own comparison guides they hand out states VZW is the largest 3g network there is.

As for not memorizing touch screen lay outs, why would I ? I dont text when I drive ( thats just plain dumb and dangerous ) and it is 100% voice responsive for making and recieving calls, shoot I can even pull up my music , check my acct and send a voice message just using my voice through Bluetooth.
