Verizon Needs to Teach AT&T

Verizon should teach the idiots at AT&T how to launch a profit making phone like Iphone. How is it that the stores ran out and customers have to wait for 7-10 business days before getting their set. At the same time Apple stores are loaded with 1000's of iphone sets. What a shame?!!!

Has Verizon ever released a phone simultaneously all over the world? I don't think AT&T is all to blame. Apple is the one providing the stock after all...

You are right, Apple is providing the stock and ATT should be in a positipon of power as the service provider and tell Apple how many they are going to need to satisfy the need at launch. In this industry thr carrier is supposed to set the rules, nit the supplier, not since ATT sold out to Apple they are just the lacky now.

that Verizon is based in america and doesnt have global coverage right?

also, apple released the iphone all over the world at once, not Att.

...to think and do research before you speak. Apple would rather sell the phone in house which is why they have more stock. They chose the max a store can get. You know good and well AT&T placed the max order they are allowed to.

It is not about thinking, AT&T Fanboy, it is about stupid games that AT&T & Apple play. Of course I know that..Why can't AT&T come clean and tell people that this is a marketing agreement.

It's amusing that someone who came to the AT&T forum spouting off that "Verizon" needs to teach AT&T a lesson in doing something that Verizon itself has never done decides to call someone a "fanboy". I do appreciate the laugh! Thanks! 🤣

not that i am a fan of the iphone or an ATT fanboy, but someone who has been to buisness school, and works in an industry of supply and demand. The lower the supply the higher the demand, shortages add only to the allure of the phone.
It adds to the hype.

This is all that it is, and as someone stated earlier, Verizon has never released a phone all at once, so no Verizon has nothing to teach ATT about releasing a product. If they did no one should listen because handset wise Verizon is not at the top of the food chain.

because if people don't have enough common sense to realize that on their own..
telling them isn't going to make them understand.

What a silly statement. It doesn't really matter to ATT if the phone is sold in store or not. Maybe to a salesperson at ATT ...but ATT receives the same revenue from the sale of each iphone regardless or origination.

Are you serious? Do you know anything about sales whatsoever? Of course it matters whether the phone is sold in store or not - the more traffic you can push through a store the more chance for accessory sales, the more chance that your sales reps can push the benefits of the extra features ATT offers, and the more chance they can sell a customer on another device if the phone they want is not in stock. Your statement is absurd.

Uh that would be because that is the way Apple set it up so a majority of business would go to them, not AT&T's doing

Dump Apple & AT&T and their stupid manipulation of people. For god sake, if you want to sell your units why play those games.
Here is the game:
We have plenty of iphones.. wait we don't, but can have direct fulfillment.. BTW, Apple Stores have 1000's of them, but you would lose your FAN so stick with us..

Geez, stupid games...
I am going with xperia x1.

What are you talking about 😳

Where do you get manipulation of people from? Where do you get "those games" from?

All of your posts in this thread have been borderline ridiculous and silly. Dump Apple & AT&T but I am going with xperia x1. Whose network do you think that phone will be for? You can get one unlocked with TMO but with no 1700 band 3G support why bother. When VZ gets a handset that is as popular as the iPhone and people stand in line to buy at their stores and the manufacturers' store then we will see how they go about doing things but until then, stop it 🙄

All Verizon has to teach ATT is how to build towers, Except for constant dropped calls on handoffs Verizon has nothing over ATT.

No one lines up at Verizon for phones. They line up for the SERVICE.

Yeah well that is debatable as well...

Not one Verizon phone that I had picked up on the Deer Lease that I am on, but my Cingular 8525 did, and even my RAZR V3xx did as well.

so SERVICE is debatable.

That is one of the most idiotic things I've ever read on here. Verizon? Seriously? Has Verizon ever had a good phone that anyone even gave a crap about? The iPhone is bigger than at&t this year, a million over the weekend isn't too bad.

yeah i agree...its impressive to release to i think 22 countries at one time. and of course apple wants to sell the iphone for themselves because they get more money that way. and i know its not wireless but nintendo has kept the wii stock low and look how many places are out of stock with people frothing at the mouth to get one. it sucks as a consumer but as a company it gets more people intrested it your product. congrats on a mostly sucsessful launch.

Apple does it all to build envy over the phone. The less places you can get it, the more you want it.

Wow. All i can say it wow.

I think that someone went to get their iphone too late in the day and all the ATT store were sold out.

They were soooo upset that they mistakenly walked into a VZ store and one of their sales people convinced that them to buy the glyde saying that it's just like the iphone.

How did that koolaid taste? Did they give you any cookies?

Let me guess, Verizon should teach us how to cripple our phones like they do, right?

p.s.: Use better punctuation!
