Don't even bother opening up your paychecks today if you're a blue retail rep! We're getting checks for supposedly MULTIPLE months of commission for no more than a couple hundred dollars!
A co-worker of mine got a commission check of under $5.
We'll see how Cingular does when it starts losing its reps!

Yup I am happy with my job. Don't expect to see me agreeing with anything but lol Ive worked in much worse, like my manager telling me to ignore sexual harrassment, kids running through stores destroying it and having to clean up after them. So yea I agree. 😁

I work in the Mortgage industry and make way too much to leave and work for a cell phone company. My brother is an RF Engineer and doesn't make close to what I do but he did say that they are shelling out over $10,000 to him for his yearly bonus due to the great year Verizon had. I heard that the CWA doesn't have a bonus in the bargaining agreement, is that true??? I have heard this from people I know in the Chicago call center at Cingular.

okay here's the problem, you have a job now be happy with that, there's plenty of AT&T wireless associates who lost their job, instead you're sitting there whining, while on the clock i'm sure on an open website complaining about a company that gratefully took you. Secondly if AT&T was so good at counting maybe you would still be working for them. Hmmmm, think about what you say about the company who pays your salary or you may not have an employer.

Well, I'm not on the clock currently, and Cingular bought ATT Wireless partially for my region, the North East. In the New York City area, Cingular neither had a standing, a good network, nor a good reputation before they acquired us. I do believe in the company in terms of the service (now that CW is running off of AT&T and not Tmobile's towers in our area), and their plans are great.
What I'm basically saying is Cingular should've had all their ducks in a row before attempting a take-over that would double the size of its own company.
The fact that we all work for the same company and you can't understand that we should all be getting paid correctly astounds me. If it was you not getting your paycheck, you should hope your peers ...

Ok, I can respect that. I'm not trying to change the world through a forum...I just know a lot of reps talk on here and figure some people may be able to relate. Believe me, on the job I'm doing my best to be patient and I know it's being worked on. It's just difficult waiting sometimes.

that's cool silentpanic i do appreciate everything you do for our company and best believe that company's that merge such as sprint and nextel here in a few months will be having the same problems if not more ya know. but enough of this we are friends and comrades in the same company. i'm sorry to hear that you didn't get what you expected and i pray that it gets better

Actually i just now started taking Orange calls. Im an ATTWS representative and so far the only complaint i have is the last names but guess what its worth it to keep my job. At my age im not gonna walk out the door and get another job that pays this well, and you have opportunity to move up withing the company. Have you ever thought maybe there was a reason that rep didnt get the bonus they expected? Its a good possibility. 😁

This is not a bonus check, it's a Nationwide issue for Blue Company Owned Store Retail Representatives. We're talkingn about folks who aren't receiving their regular hourly pay as well as a high percentage of their earned commission. This is well documented by each blue rep.

I'm a blue rep and I cant wait until we take orange only calls. Im sick of ATT go phone calls. Only problem is when we start taking orange calls, we will no longer be C&A we will become customer care reps. I'm not quite sure what to think about that yet. I like C&A because in my opinion it is easier to deal with dealers over the phone than with customers and the calls are shorter. The thing I like most about my job is that you don't have any direct supervision and they treat you good. Pay could be better but lets face it, I did not take this job thinking I would make alot of money.

I don't know about the Blue/Orange reps, but in the divested markets we had some problems initially in getting our pay correct. Looks like they finally got them straightened out though. Still trying to figure out what they did on this check...ended up getting 3 checks, all about "overtime recalculations" or something like that. We can sympathize with you, and I hope they get your situation fixed soon!
