Things that make me hate the state of our nation
Two white trash people came in to the store and needed help with their rebate that was denied them. Franco took the time to call in and get the matter resolved and our district manager even gave them a new BB car charger to boot. Then the unthinkable happened.
The white trash dude stole Franco's brand new unlocked k850i. My district manager and I were redoing the accessory wall and he grabbed it while getting a drink from our water fountain. It was on a shelf nearby.
I know some will say it was Franco's fault that he didn't have it in his pocket or in a better location, but...

Seriously, y'all have their address and what not, I would make sure they really get what's coming to them. Hopefully the DA will cooperate.
I had this happen to me years ago and it sucks. I feel your pain, makes you lose faith in humanity and you feel violated. You learn your lesson from the ordeal and as time moves on you realize humanity doesn't suck but there are some untrustworthy individuals out there.

Yesterday something happened in my store that I am really upset about. Franco1903 is one of the sales reps I work with and he had something terrible happen.

I sincerely hope the authorities have been contacted. I'm sure you shouldn't have any trouble handing over personal info like name and address. These people are stupid enough to give it to you and then commit a crime. I hate to say it, but yes, they are stupid, ignorant white trash people. Prosecute to the fullest.
They probably couldn't even get a gig with Jerry Springer! 🤣
Stuff like that happen in a lot of work places that is why you see laptops chained to desks, people locking their belongings in drawers, etc.
I guess leaving an expensive phone unattended in a busy store is asking for it....
No- loosing your job is probably not worth phone vengeance. Just be more careful.
He might just be dumb enough to go back to the store to complain.
What a jerkwad.
If you didn't see it happen, and they don't find the phone on him, you are going to get the DA to file charges.
I understand you frustration, but in a world where there are nations who are killing in the name of ethnic cleansing and children are being killed and maimed in hidden minefields, the title of this post is a bit too "Drama Queen"...
I'm sure however old you are that you've never accidently left a car unlocked, a bedroom door or something along those lines. You were probably lucky enough not to have something happen or if you did then I feel for you.
Maybe I was careless or maybe thi...

Leaving an expensive cell phone lying around a retail store that is open to the public is careless. Heck , I don't leave my laptop unsecured to my desk and I work in a private office that ISN'T open to the public.
So is leaving your car unlocked. It's careless. It happens but you didn't just leave the car unlocked, you left it running with the keys in the ignition. Are you actually arguing that you weren't careless? I have had things stolen before. Sometimes it was due to carelessness, sometimes it was unavoidable. Leaving a GD cell phone on a counter unattended with what you described as a bunch of hillbilly red necks lurking about the store was extremely careless and not just a little stereotypical. Deciding the...

You know what I realize **** does happen. I have had **** happen to me on more than one occasion and I know it isn't fun. I guess if our levels of maturity are based on these rants then we're right there with each other. You know I wasn't the one who started this thread someone else did and I refuse to call what happened or what anyone did as careless.
I have found that being a lawyer does help in these matters. The guy is probably going to be charged because of something called circumstantial evidence(How most murders are solved in this country btw). If they were the only people in the store and the phone was there while they were there and now it isn't after they left after I hadn't touched it I believe this qualif...

Why is it so hard to grasp the concept that someone leaving an expensive device, unattended, in a public place with shady characters hanging around the store is careless? What in the heck is wrong with you?
I didn't vilify anyone I just made the statement that it was careless and that little incident didn't really reflect the "state of our nation" for craps sake. How you got started on all of your past mistakes and college days and what you are and aren't proud of in you life.... GEEZ!
Perhaps you've confused Phonescoop with Dr. Phil's website.
Why in the hell was I not informed of this earlier?

I have to apologize. I just went back and re-read this comment. Sometimes I'll say something without a sense of perspective and I think that's what happened here.
I hope you don't mind, but I printed out your above comment onto a little card which I laminated and now keep in my wallet to remind me of this regrettable tendency.
If I may be frank (ha ha!), I think everyone will be much happier using your calculus -- to wit, is my problem more horrible than genocide, mass murder, e...

And thank you for your post. I proved that me calling you a Drama Queen was an understatement. I don't believe you can be "frank" (ha ha funny pun) but can only be "francis".
We're talking perspective here, right? Where did I get off reporting a crime to the police? And how about the DA's office trying to prosecute a crime?
I mean, shouldn't our police and lawyers be out preventing ethnic cleansing and hidden minefields overseas?
Also, I want to be clear that I'm on the same page with you about being a drama queen. What's next, I start comparing everything to ethnic cleansing and children being maimed in minefields?

I read english pretty well. It's my first AND second language and I don't think that you are agreeing with me at all. I think you are being snarky and facetious.

And i must say i love it, because i don't care how small or large the crime is, its still a crime.
and your comparison earlier the genocides and blah blah blah, sometimes you can't fix ignorance and what is the point of having UN peace keepers if they go to the Sudan and get shot at for ten minutes straight without firing a shot back.
to me all this means is less people taking up precious air.
