CINGULAR ORANGE TO GO 24 HOURS
Im in a Blue center, and learned today that we will now be taking Orange Legacy calls 24 hours a day starting sometime in February.

Excuse me, Sorry for roaming into Cingular territory, but I have a friend that has an old CDMA Motorola phone. She wants to buy a GSM unlocked Cingular phone, and needs just the SIM card. How much does CINGULAR charge just for a SIM, and to transfer the info off of her current CDMA phone onto the new SIM card? She might get a LG G4020 phone. Someone please reply A.S.A.P.! Thanks!

A cinguar SIM can only work on the Cingular service. You cannot take a Cinguar phone and uses it with a CDMA carrier such a Verion or Sprint as it will not work. If you can a Cinguar phone unlocked you could use it on a GSM carrier like T-mobile but you would have to get a T-mobile SIM. the SIM is just a chip that tells the phone what its carrier is and whose towers it can uses and its phone number.

Im not sure what your specific call center hours will be, but the new CSE customer care hours will definitely be:
5am - 11 pm M-F
9am - 6 pm Sat&Sun

actually you are wrong, the blue centers, in which i am a part of, we are closing on sundays and ending our shifts at 11pm... we are going through a shift bid, and had to re-do it because of the closed on sundays, which as blue, we arent used to doing! 😳

How are you going to tell me that Im wrong? Were you in my training class? I dont know what your call center is doing, but ours currently takes CSE and Blue calls. By mid February Cingular will be extending its Orange Legacy to 24 hours. We will be taking these calls now instead of blue.

The Los Angeles call center might go 24hr.
I know for sure that by May 31 this call center will be trained 100% to orange.
Since the orange system is shut at night the only thing I could imagine to be during the night is back end work ie. troubleshooting, bill rerates, split/consolidate accounts, transfer balances etc.
We could only wait and see.

At this point in time our call center was the first to go completely CSE from Blue. We are taking after hour emergency calls on saturdays after 8pm and on sundays we switch to blue calls at 7pm. Our reg shift we work. But those who work past a certain time during the week start taking after hours calls at a certain time. Not sure what that time is.
