That is correct. Only ringtones are those you buy from Apple.

You would have to pay for iTunes to convert it to a ringtone.

I have a question. I want to know if they are still going to allow people with contracts to buy the new iphone?

That is the million $$ question.

My guess is yes but at a new higher "No Contract" price.

i wonder, if they dont allow people to upgrade to the iphone, the sales probably wont be as high as they would like and they can lose customers over that.

I would think the lower price point would offset any loss for customers not already able to upgrade.

We will know soon.

people would probably cancel there service and resign with them to get the phone..

Not likely. You would lose your number and have zero gain (termination fee is equal to discount on phone).

I think it is not a surprise. It is now on par with Blackberry and other PDA devices.

I think its understandable. The amount of data you would use with 3G would be higher than 2G...

It also makes the device competitive in price, which will be interesting... 😎

What do you want for $200. Miracles. Its a $200 phone as I said it should have been all along. This is what you get for $200. You want a really fully featured unlimited phone break away for momma ATT's breast and buy your own.......

I don't have 3G in my area till...well... a long time. I may not even worry about purchasing a new one till then. Who knows? A 32GB one may be out by then. I have Wifi just about everywhere I need it, so I don't worry...

GPS is the one thing making me lean to iPhone 3G...

i'm no apple fanboy but the build quality is phenomenal. the touchscreen can't be matched by anyone and the innovation of convergys apple put into the iphone is amazing. you may not like it, but at least give credit where credit is due.
