Just wondering this...when will Cingular stop using the Att name? I mean isn't the merger fully completed? I mean maybe not but it seems that way... I mean WHO doesn't know they merged by now?? 😕

Once they can migrate everyone out of att to cingular then the name will be done!!!

Migration will have nothing to do with it.
AT&T has allowed Cingular to continue using the name for an additional six months after the merger, which should be around April.
There will still be a lot of AWS customers on AWS rate plans for awhile, for various reasons. Cingular won't force migrate people for awhile, but will make it so difficult to upgrade their 'blue' services, that they won't have any choice but leave or go to 'orange'. There's already a blue save/loyalty team in place with special orange offers to entice customer's to migrate.
Supposedly, AT&T plans to re-tool the AWS name by reselling Sprint services.
But a new wrinkle has possibly surfaced....SBC buying AT&T. Supposedly talks are happening and if it does g...
