Flipping of Features Over???

I was infomed by my manager that as of August 1st reps will only be paid the difference of the feature if they are changed. Has anyone else heard of this? Does anyone have any additional information if someone goes from let's say media basic to message starter?

that's correct. if moving to a feature in the same category then you will only be paid the difference. the good thing is the charge back will only be the difference as well. moving from media to message package will be the same as it was.

i am guessing cause you get paid the DIFFERENCE. so if they are paying $25 for something already then switch to a $30 plan of something, you only get paid a percentage of the difference which is $5. 😕 sounds crappy to me, sorry to hear that guys.

if u flip the feature in the same month then u are golden .... but if u wait till the 1st u will only get the difference ...

example

little johhny gets a blackberry BIS plan for $20 on the 5th of june ....

i or cust service troubleshoot on the 10th by taking the feature off and put back on

rep gets charge back and i get the full feature amount

but if i waited till july to flp feature i get no pay on it but it still shows up on DSR for the stores numbers

get it ?

So after six months can they then be flipped? Do we have to wait for comp codes to change again?

I'm saying people are going to start slamming bills with features - meaning that everyone I come in contact with is going to have roadside assistance, or a message plan of sorts...reps will put somone on a message plan just so they "own" that customer. This is also known as FRAUD... and the reason why a lot of the cellular industry gets a bad rap.

flipping feats is the most idiotic thing I have ever seen....you must really suck if you have to flip feats to sell them, not only that but its stupid cause the COR stores are tracked, and I have seen many people get fired over flipping feats, the employees i knew whent on "leave" meaning they knew they were getting fired so they went on "leave" to use thier PTO and vaca time.if your having trouble selling feats dont resort to commiting fraud just to make your numbers look good, step back take a deep breath and look to what you did in the past that made you so successful and compare that to what you are doing know.

I agree - what annoys me more is when reps switch primary lines on an account, and then switch family messging/early nights, causing me to get a chargeback.

true, but in COR stores they took away charge backs....if someone chnages a feature for example $15 1500 messages to $20 unlimited, you dont get the charge back and that person only get paid on the $5 difference...however if they go to PDA package from $15 unlimited media net you do get a charge back....everything that has changed has got me so confused with how I get paid its so hard to keep track of my commisions

I work for a dealer. I don't have a problem with not "stealing" people's features but we get paid for customer's keeping the feature active on their account for 6 months. So what I'm asking now is after six months can the feature then be changed to restart the 6 month cycle? What about when the comp codes change again can they then be changed?

To me this seems like AT&T getting the real benefit of this by not having to pay for the feature every six months.

One other thing is I think if saves AT&T alot of customer service calls by customers not calling because their media net doesn't work anymore because a rep as flipped the feature nad they have to reset the phone to have it updated.

I just feel as if this happened mainly to save ...

the DSR does not report flipped features within 6 months of the original feature add. it has to go through the vesting period before it gets reported again. so no matter whether you flip it in the same month o...

It's based on the tab system in OPUS. If it's in the same tab, you get paid the difference, no chargeback for the original rep unless the feature comes off, or it's a totally different tab.

I like the tabbed feature categories. You didn't sell the original 10 dollar feature, you sold the 15 dollar feature, you should get paid the difference in what you sold, and what the previous rep sold. It eliminates alot of the chargebacks from dishonest reps changing features and screwing the person that originally put it on there.
