8925 Tilt?

I have a customer questioning how to change network settings to exclude 3g on the Tilt. He has been told by fellow employees that changing to 2g extends battery life. He's not concerned about network speed. Any ideas?

I really think it has to be done by editing the registry.

I read that on howardforums.com sometime back...

Go to settings, then phone, then services, and band selection, under select network type change Auto to GSM.

It does extend the battery life. For some reason 3G sucks the juice out of it, putting it in GSM mode only makes it run on EDGE and the battery lasts alot longer, the speeds are still not bad.
