Why does AT&T feel the need to cripple their phones by locking the capability to use full mp3's are ringtones and alerts. Seriously does a huge company making billions need the $1.99 for ringtones. I can make my own and and place them on the phone but its the idea that a huge company criples their phones to rape customers of even more money. Seriously if a car manufacture locked the stereo feature or locked the car speed to 45 miles per hour no one would buy the damn car. For a company so worried about customer satisfaction they sure do stupid things. I could understand on cheap phones but when you pay a 2 year contract and 100.00 cash out of pocket for a phone you want all the options not the waterdown version that the guy working at M...

First off there is no reason to post rude comments back to me. Two i was asking for help unbranding the stupid phone. Three I own an unlocked s500i the w580 is a pink one for my little sister whom i'm not spending 500.00 on an unlocked phhone the day it comes out like i did with my s500. And yes i want her to be able to move whole songs from her computer to the phone to be used as ringtones because i'm not paying for an internet package for a 15 year old to blow up my bill. Next time leave the snide comments to yourself.

Now where did you ask about unbranding? Oh that's right, you didn't. And do read next time, as I said $299, not $500. Who said anything about an internet package anyway?

I do leave my snide comments to myself, all day. It's free game on the internet. You bitch, I bitch back.

Bro, please... You start off by saying that "WE" don't cripple anything then you say that you work at McDs, make up your mind do you work for McDs or ATT???

About the car thing, that is actually a federal law that the manufacturers have to put in what is called a "governor chip" for it to be street legal.

Back off and pull the stick out of your ars. The person just asked a simple question and made an observation...I happen to agree with him about ATT crippling their devices. I have had several from them and they all went back because something was crippled. Oh and I have the N95 thank you.

What I'm not allowed to have two jobs?

I'm well aware of the federal law. He brought up a point about cars topping out and I said they already do.

Congrats on the N95, stellar device. That's why I said it wasn't one of those cheap phones.

Amen Crackberry, I mean look at the Moto Q9h Global, they disabled the GPS chip to only be used with their mapping software. I know there is a "hack" for it but for some reason it wouldn't work with my CoPilot software so I picked up the N95. lol
