Phones for the "Bottom Line".......

When the hell is AT&T going to sell some phones that the consumers want instead of the usual run of the mill, low to middle, Samsung, LG, and whoever else will sweeten the "bottom line" on a quarterly basis....Nokia and Sony Ericsson have been making great phones for the past few years....Nokia being No.1 wordlwide. I,ve followed this industry for the past ten years, and I think its time the
consumer start telling the Carriers which phones to sell, instead of the other way around. Nuff said!!!! I'm done venting!

I agree, I think if at&t gives these awesome phones away for free-$99 everyone and there mother would get one. But the problem I remember from my retail sales days, were that Americans didn't want to pay for luxury phones. For instance, the Nokia 7610. Pretty fancy phone for the day and considering it was a at&t phone. I think the only one we sold in our store was the one I bought. Things have changed, and people are getting familiar with newer technologies and what extra features can do for them. But of course for at&t, how many contracts can they get people to sign, they will sign more with free-$99 phones than $250-$500 phones...unless its an iphone.

ABSOFRIGGINLOUTLEY!!!

There aren't enough people who will put $500 on the table for a phone that is researched rather than marketed.

I found the N95/N82 by researching while the Iphone was being touted as the next best thing. It does not even come close to those Nokias....Nothing does.

I can't tell you the last time a customer asked for a phone that wasn't under $100. With the exception of the BB and smartphones that are around $100, most are happy with the crappy mid to low level phones. One ATT upper management type on FoxNews said that ATT will get rid of 2 year contracts when people don't expect free phones. I'm happy with my Blackberry and don't think I could use a non-PDA after my time with it. People in America are still buying VHS. Change is very strange to Americans and most will keep a piece of junk TV cause they want to "get their money out of it" rather then upgrade and try something new. Lucky that our younger generation wants the phones with features so hopefully we will see some changes in the types of...

Cwell phones as fashion accessories? Yikes....Maybe for teens, one would think as one grow up one does not seek approval fomr another based on a friggin phone!!!
IF I want a fully featured phone I could care less if its purple with pink dots. Its hidden most of the time and when it's not who cares really?

Do grown up people really care about looks enough to pass of features???

Not many...... I'm guessing judging how many bland yet function Honda Accords and Camry's are sold.
