I was 18 and stupid
I had 2 cell phone carriers (At 2 Different Times)....Spint & ATT....
Both of them I owed money to... so I totally f*u*c*k*e*d up.
Just for the record. My fault.
Well so now for the numbers:
Sprint: I OWED 1900.00 but they charged it off, sent me a letter, paid a 250.00 deposit and got the service back.
At&t: I OWE them 1250.00 đ˛ late charges, going over, line cancellation fees, its all adds up....
Now, my problem, at&t is the ONLY cell phone company that works in my apartment building, and all of my neighbors have it and love it...I only get 0-1 bar, and most of the time have to stand by the window just to get a call through.
Is there any change that at&t will charge off my ac...

You can always try calling them up and seeing if they can do anything, unfortunatly that doesn't often work. âšī¸ Sorry for the hopeless filled message.

They should. No company can legally demand that you give your social security number. I don't know how it works with AT&T, but if someone denies to give out their social security number to Verizon, we just run it with 999-99-9999. It gives the maximum deposit, but you can do it.
Given the turnover in the Wireless Phone industry and the debt young people stack up I would rather pay the deposit then give my SS to any 20 something who may be desperate next week.
I have had an account opened in my name at New Egg lol Got the address of the kid in Florida who ordered himself a nice Camera. Also someone made a purchase at Apple using another card.
Since then I have put a freeze on any cr...

1) Have someone who has an ATT ft plan already add you on. If you have a parent that is willing to set up service for you, that may be an option too.
2) In my market, folks with a default account can still get service with an $800 deposit. As long as you pay on time for a year with no suspensions or disconnections, you would see the deposit back in a year.

It's a shame a cell phone which one can live without will be the reason you will have to pay high interest or be denied the really important things in life for the coming years.
Forget the phone worry about your credit rating. Fix that.
And we wondered why they raised the drinking age from 18 to 21 when we were young.

So I assume that you are all of what... 19 now? How is it that you managed to mess things up so much within such a short timespan? My advice, FIX YOUR CREDIT. Getting a company to simply write it off isn't gonna work. Most companies have the policy- You made the debt, now you can pay for it. Trying to write off a bill shouldn't be on the top of your list for things to get taken care of. Repairing the damage should be. Go with GoPhone & don't get into another contract unless you are truly ready. PAY for your debt. You incurred it. Do not expect someone else to take care of it for y...

He appears to believe that he is responsible, but at the same time appears to believe he should not be accountable.
Frankly, considering his title, I don't think much has changed in the nine months.
