Do any AT&T reps understand the new features? Our RAE gave us a general idea but it was really confusing, and i was wondering if anyone here knew or understood more than me. Thanks in advance

Well their retiring all the M2M messaging and pda, blackberry, smartphone, and media max 1500, the new pda/blackberry plans will be 35 which includes unlimited data and 200 messages, there will be a $30 unlimited data plan for pda's, unlimited media net will be $15 and media max will be $35, unlimited messaging will be an alternative on a blackberry for receiving the rebate, and ALL features will be rounded up the the nearest dollar, the $59.99 unlimited data connect will now be $60 and 5GB. Plus their changing the soc codes for all of those as well as all the other messaging verts.

But this is stating that im reading this correctly and fully understand what our rep told us and im not. If anyone knows differently, id be glad to hear

And when does this go into action? Cause all of my markets (42) features haven't changed.

Well, I'll be sure to look into this...

I still believe that FAM TALK UNL MESSAGING...Is not fun to get around with trying to sell features with an upgrade or new activation...

This should be interesting

yeah - in 18 months, when all these customers come in for upgrades - you're gonna see my feature average hit the floor.

i'm trying to figure out if, as a customer, should i get my features now or should i wait until after the change goes into effect. i probally would like to add txt to my wifes phone and probally the media net to mine. both are regular phones, not pda/smartphones.. i'm not seeing the advantages of the change. is it better for us(cust.) or better for att.

That all depends on what your wanting to add. It really doesn't matter when you do it. If it doesn't automatically change you can go back and change it. Text will be the same prices. Media Net Unlimited goes from $20 to $15.

Just to make sure I have what I am reading right. If I have a laptop card I can only use 5mb a month now and not unlimited? That defets the reason to have the laptop card. I think I am taking my laptop card to a different carrier if that is what I am reading

Read more carefully, it's 5GB and that's a loose term, even if you go over it and you aren't breaking the T&Cs they won't charge you. They are just covering for people that use it for things against the T&Cs.

Actually it's 5GB's, not MB's. And most carriers seem to be this way. Except maybe Sprint, but if you do intend on changing to Sprint, then maybe you should wait until Sprint launches WiMax in your city, and see if these 2-4mbps speeds are real!
