The Worst Service I have EVER HAD!!!!

AlfBongo

Dec 25, 2004, 2:03 PM
I have had the worst service from AT&T Wireless and NOW CINGULAR!!! I used to have a Nokia 2260 with AT&T Wireless with an Anywhere Anybody Plan for 39.99 where I would get unlimited anytime minutes and 600 NW minutes. In Nov I went over my minutes by 2000 minutes, which IS obviously ATT's Fault. They breached their contract!!!! I called them up and I was told they put me on the wrong Plan!!! what a bunch of scam artists!! the only thing I was offered was 60 minutes!! what a slap in the face. I just recently found out I will be moving in janruary to central nevada and I'm being told I wont get any service!! what a joke! another breach of my contract but I'm still stuck with 4 cancellation fees at 175 a piece. all I want is for my phone to wo...

that doesn't make sense. It sounds like you misunderstood your rate plan. The 39.99 plans comes with 600 anytime and unlimited N&W

what you said, unlimited anytime and 600 N&W makes no sense, due to the fact that you dont have N&W on a unlimited plan, since you will never use those N&W.

sounds like you got the plans backwards for the promotions

EXACTLY why would you need any other promos for NW or m2m or anything (not that he mentioned m2m but for driving home the point it works) if you have unlimited mins. DEFEATS THE PURPOSE. It takes all kinds. Did this person make it past elementary school

You know I work for another company, and this makes me ill. When you move a company cannot get blames for that no company is in breach of contract when you move out out he service area. Your service has not changed it is exactly the way it is when you signed up. I suggest a review of you terms and conditions.

Verizon will actually waive ETF's if you move to an area w/o coverage. But from Alf's post he can get Cingular service in that area. Why don't you just switch to phone manually to Cingular.

The guy who sit's next to me works for blue too and he has to switch to Cingular at home to get service.

I was just looking through all of ATTWS GSM plans since we started offering GSM service. The only unlimited offer plan we had was out 99.99 CHarter plan, which we stopped offering about 1 year ago. This plan required one to stay on a 2 year service agreement to keep the unlimited minutes promo, it did not come with n/w promo, because it has unlimited minutes. No wireless company is going to offer unlimited minutes for 39.99, most of us will have a m2m feature, InCalling or like T-Mobiel has Couples talk free, and these promos require you to be on their own network and calling other users of the wireless provider. 🙂

Sounds to me that someone has been smoking crack & is high on retard pills.

First of all, you don't even get what your plan is about.

Secondly, you continually speak about "breach of contract". Had you read your contract, you would know what your plan is all about. You would also know that your contract CLEARLY states that you are liable for any overages.

Thirdly, you are being charged the Early Termination Fees because you canceled without just cause. Had you waited until you actually moved to an area without coverage, you would have been able to cancel without penalty. If they would have charged you an Early Term fee for this, you could have contacted the FTC or FCC (by law you are not required to pay for services that are not ...

🤣 talking about reading the terms & conditions... Cingular's T&C clearly states we do not guarantee service everywhere at all times... AND you are responsible for ETF's if YOU move to a non-cingul...

My contract was originally signed with AT&T. At the time I signed it it stated that if I moved to an area where AT&T service is not available, I could cancel my service without penalty. I used to have T-Mobile & they had the same policy (although I know they recently changed that).

not unless they want to pay ETf's, see they get to keep their plans for the 2 years they signed up for, just can't change the package unless willing to lose their promotions.they will have 4 choices, leave the package as is, change it but stay with their ATTWS serv minus promotions, migrate to current plan and different phone , or Yes cancel, and pay flat $175 ETF PER LINE, 3/4 of the legacy customers had shared plans, so minimum of $350.00 in ETF, up to $700.00 for the max of 4 lines on one shared plan alone.

It's not, it's just a fact that when people are peeved at a company and they look elsewhere they're going to look for something similar to what they had. Let's face it, especially in the Western markets, there's not much difference between Cingular and TMobile, the phones are very similar and so is the service. Somebody has to pick up every customer another company loses, and that's all I was stating. If that offends you in some way, it was not my intention.

And the service is similar becuase t-mobile rents most of their towers from us 😉

Aleq, actually t-mobile isn't buying the towers, what is going on, this was agreed based on merger approval, is t-mobile and cingular are swapping some towers each others owns because based on the merger, they (cingular) would have too much spectrum after aquiring ATWS coverage, and in exchange some coverage Cingular wants in certain select markets will be handed over to them. They are also untwining themselves from the agreement they had to share coverage in the CA market.

So they are trading towers, but it will still rely heavily on Cingular for about 85% of the network coverage owned by cingular.Eventually maybe 2-4 years, i got a feeling t-mobile will the next to be gobbled by Cingular.

Thats what ATTWs used to say.You have to realize just from the news, reports, the smaller companies will get eaten by the bigger ones, just the way it goes. And think if cingular wanted to, what do you think would happen to T-mobile if Cingular cut off access to teir towers, cutting those lease agrements, losing 85% of their coverage.

They already changed from Voicestream to T-Mobile, and they will just eventually be gobbles up, like AlTel and Nextel will be as well. Not saying it will be all by cingular, but the others as well, VZW, Sprint,Cingular, will eventually get eaten up.

What?! You didn't know about the secret conspiracy all wireless companies have? You know, the one where we get late night graveyard troglodyte employees manually create random call charges and falsify minute usage in order to reap huge profits from our unsuspecting and totally innocent customers...
