My wife and I have been with AT&T for a little over a year and they have been very very good to us. Service seems to be pretty good also. Hope this helps. C S has been very helpful to me.

Of course it depends on your area. But here in south central Pa service is good. I have had no problems with it. And as far as CS What little I have dealt with them it was great, but for the most part (about 99% of the time) I deal with a rep at my local store. He goes above and beyond and for that I deal with nobody else!! Even if I have to wait 20- 30 minutes for him.

I have been with at&t for almost 1 year. I had a few problems with CS in the beginning but it was the rep who ttok my order that caused that and they quickly fixed it. I usually go to the store if I have issues. I do not however go to the local store in my town because those people are just plain rude. I go 30 minutes away from my house to the store in the next town. Those people are alot more friendly. The sefvice has been GREAT!!! I get signal almost everywhere I go. The only thing I do not like is that they do not have insurance on their smartphones and it would be nice if they included the 7pm N&W in with the plans and lower the price of unlimited text messaging 🙂 We can only hope and wish 🙂 But overall I love them!!!

I live in the midwest, Kansas City to be specific. Does anyone live in the midwest? I'm thinking of leaving verizon for at&t. Is this a smart move? Honest opinions are greatly appreciated.

No one can tell you what will work bst for you. My advice is if you want to sign up with at&t, do it, and you have a 30 day buyers remorse period to change your mind. That should be ample time to make up your mind. As far as customer service, it is hit or miss honestly. My advice is to go into a store to make your purchase and use that same person for your customer service. Thats what I advise most of my customers to do because I know they will get the best experience if they deal solely through me.

I truly am. I like at&t. I dreaded them when they were known as Cingular, though.

What's the difference? I'm debating between at&t and alltel. I just can't make up my mind.

I had alltel for all of 2 weeks!!! I did not like them personally. The phones always locked up or froze, the web was horrible, the coverage was not as good as at&t. I guess you have to try it out in your area to see what works for you.

Cingular didn't have their **** together. They seem more established, as a whole, since they went back to at&t (i.e. billing, reception, better phones with more features etc.......). Don't even get me started on my opinion of Alltel........

I have been with Att since it was ATT before the Cingular fiasco. ATT was better before Cingular in termsof CS. However Although I live in a rea where there is a 2sq mile "hole" which is being rectified with a tower, I still prefer the GSM model far over CDMA. Now that phones do far more than make calls, they have become important feature wise and I won;t go with a carrier who cripples features and socializes the GUI.

In fact I used my N95 (and soon) to be N82's other feature MORE then I use it as a phone! we are on a month to month expired contract 2 phone family plan of 450 shared and have 2000 roll over minutes.LOL. The upgrade is not a sweet for us however there are no phones worth upgrading for on ATT yet. When they start getting t...

according to your screen name, I can tell you the service here is great. We have had 3G for a while now here which has great call quality and clarity. Since AT&T has been here since the SBC days, Cingular days, etc. the network is very solid.

Use the 30 day trial period and you should be very satisfied.

Would I be able to go month to month from the beginning of my service? Or, do I have to get a contract.

you don't get some calling features with month 2 month like you do with a contract. For example mobile to mobile or rollover minutes may not apply. Do you have a phone already to use on the At&T network?
