iPhone
Is it really worth getting 1st of all? Secondly, if I get an "unlocked" version...how to activate? I know I can just throw in my sim card..but how will I activate the iPhone data plan, etc? Will all the features work correctly (i.e. visual voicemail, etc.)?
Thanks
I can't however get used to the virtual keyboard. Especially after using my curve for 2 months.
The email application is really cool for my yahoo account, super easy.
The web browser is cool, but it is frustrating that some times I am trying to move around the page or zoom in or out and it clicks another link on the page.
Read user reviews on cnet, or even phonescoop.
You wont be dissapointed
Again, if you dont need to browse the web outside of wifi-hotspots this phone is an A+
Where do I sign up?!
I personally do not give a crap that it doesn't have mms, that is a kid feature to me. As far as Edge/wi-fi vs 3g I have wi-fi access in all the places I go, outside 3g coverage strength is stronger and works fine for quick normal internet needs. The phone is amazing if that's what you want. If you are a 4,000 a month texting whore....DON'T BUY IT. period.
Most people who talk **** about the Iphone have never had one and are just stating facts based upon negatives. This is an amazing phone the revolutionized the cellphone industry. Notice how quick Crapizon was to come out with the voyager aka "the iphone killer" as per Verizon CEO's... I laugh at the Voyager
Its a "toy" compared to phones like the Nolia N82 and N95. The "top of the line" music player phone does not even have Stereo Blue Tooth!!!!!
Yeah it costs twice as much but is 10X the phone.
5MP AF Camera. whats that worth? $200?
Full on GPS (not Google Maps) $200?
30FPS Digital Video? $200?
WiFi $200
N Gage Gaming machine $150?
HSPDA/G No iPhone
Stereo BT? NO Iphone
MMS? No Iphone
Contract? NOPE
NO Itunes or any special Software needed ...PRICELESS....
Keep trying Peppy....Your HAsbro IPhone will serve you well. OH and by the time you buy the Next Gen iPhone that HAS some of those things You will have paid more than one N 95......

You are a lunatic, did you just try to list prices for features on a phone? GPS $200? wifi 200? n gage $150? WTF are you talking about? Oh, ok I'll just take your word for it. Unbelievable. If you never posted again that would be priceless.
Sure did Peppy! And those prices were low for those features if bought separately. Of course you would not know that since you are inebriated on Apple Kool-Aod.
Last time I checked you can't just buy "GPS" perhaps you can buy a product with GPS in it but I have never seen a retail price for just global positioning system.
ALso, being an adult I could care less about n gage or whatever that is, if you really are married you shouldn't care either.
You can't even buy a N95 on the ATT website. So why are we even talking about that? I'm confused.
I did read that Nokia is trying to get its US share back (after falling to Motorolla and Samsung) and i'm sure they will be updating their tired old phones and such... but I have to give it to Apple for creating a phone that is actually fun to use. I've played around with one for 2 days now...and its really cool.
And yes. Peppy....... I enjoy N-gage when standing in lines or on the crapper at the Mall. I guess you don't have an Xbox Peppy? You live life so seriously. No game playin but Ya got a gimmicky toy for a phone..Go figure.
Yes you can buy a stand alone GPS unit for $200. But this one actually gives BT directions and not just a "where am I?"
To answer the ATT don't have it question. I buy phones I want that can be used on the carriers networks. I do not want the carrier to decide what features I can use or have their branded products to save a hundred dollars on a cheap phone and sign a two year commitment.
You are right the iPHone is "cool" But the N95 is far ...

BTW I will admit the iPhone is definitely worth $100. You did well.

man you are funny. I wish I could meet you in person so I could decide on 2 levels that I don't like you. So annoying, wait, tell me one more time, what features does your phone have that are better then mine? I don't care.
You care. In fact you care too much. As a matter of fact You seem to be the only one who cares. 🙄 🙄

in some ways yes. but who cares, it's an $800 phone that isn't linked to any company. what's the data rate per month cost?
$800? Show me a N95-3 that coats $800.......Most are less than $600.

Wifi is free. My data plan is $10 a month but I use and prefer the WfFI access more
And not having it linked to a company is a GOOD thing,
Your data plan is $10 a month? how does that work? you have unlimited internet for $10? prove it.
Not having it linked to a company means you are SOL if you have any problems with the phone. I choose customer service because I know how to deal with CS.

That says $620 plus shipping so you are wrong with your "most are less than $600" I have to pay shipping because the nearest Nokia store is like 2,000,000 miles away.

And today its $609 a FAR cry from your $800 claim. Yes My data plan is not unlimited. I don't need unlimited data I use the WiFi more then ATT. WiFi is everywhere. 3G is not.
If I have issue with the phone I do what anyone would do. Send it to Nokia (just like A...
