Lately, I have been recieving a daily text message reminding me of the Feb. 08 TDMA shut off. Today, I recieved 2 texts that read "Very Important! TDMA service will be discontinued." 😳
Has the shut-off date been moved up. A sales rep told me earlier this month that I had time to wait out the Q4-07 phones. I plan to make a move in mid December either AT&T or Verizon (depending on which has the best deal for 450 or 900 minutes with unlimited web and messaging). I've seen two AT&T phones come out so far. I am hoping for a QWERTY non smart phone.

The rates I think are identical with at&t offering rollover as an advantage. Right now, at&t doesn't offer a non smartphone with a qwerty keyboard, you may want to look at a pantech duo it has a qwerty keyboard but is in a unique/non smartphone form factor running windows mobile 6.0

In some markets the shut-off dates will be sooner. Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of California have already seen TDMA shutoff. So, it all depends up...

Feb. is the Analog shutoff date. Legally, they don't have to wait for that day to shut off TDMA.
