Does AT&T ALWAYS follow after Verizon's lead?
Verizon offers the America's Choice 65 Plus plans (plans focusing on customers 65 and older) and low and behold, AT&T suddenly comes out with the same exact idea! 200 anytime minutes, 500 night & weekend minutes, and unlimited mobile-to-mobile. Maybe one of these days AT&T will have a mind of it's own. Until then though I prefer to be on the Leader's side. đ
whats so bad about catering to persons of agely distinction?
Maybe VZW heard ATT was going to come out with something so they rushed out their own version. Maybe ATT is just trying not to screw the plan up by releasing it prematurely. (i.e. mobile TV services)

and we offered to unlock phones before they did.
Please explain "unlocking" with a Verizon phone.
It's the same old Nation 200 plan. It's just that now has UM2M and it's called 'Senior'
Does Verizon inform it's rep's about this message board? Cause these losers always post dumb messages that are so unorganic and systematic it makes me hurl.

Not bad....You have to admit its a trade off, unlimited nights and weekends vs m2m.... that could go either way.
yep. most people over 65 aren't up past 9 anyway.
It's notable that the only "new ideal" in wireless lately came out side both - Apples Iphone. It was only launched on AT&T as they're both are GSM and have a decent US national network (T-mobile is cheap but very patchy nation wide). Verizon choice of Qualcom's CDMA/EVDO is probably their only big mistake, It's clear, w...

Yeah, call Verizon up, and ask them if they will let you keep your unused minutes, or offer you free incoming calls for your business.
My thoughts on this are; it's about TIME Verizon DID offer something new and different, instead of...

The leader in wireless doesn't need to give away the farm like sprints desperate attempt to gain subscribers. (sero)
SERO, I might agree with, but free incoming predates Sprint. Nextel offered that WAY before the merger, and that during a time when they were making more money per subscriber than anyone.
Besides, what are you going to say about AT&T? Sprint might be desperate, but they aren't. My point is this; Just because AT&T is offering the same deal for seniors that VZW is, in no way means they are looking elsewhere for inspiration. If they were really trying to follow Verizon, they would have just the basic offerings.

They're jsut mad because Sprint has 6pm nights and weekends and $15 data, and the others don't.
They love to talk about how great VZW is, but they forget that many people do use Sprint and other providers because they have businesses (free incoming), or use more minutes some months than others (rollover). Who doesn't?

Yah, but given how bad Sprint's been doing:

... it kinda seems like they HAVE to give away those things, or else they'd be tanking completely. âšī¸
