The AT&T assets in the Oklahoma City market are being sold to Alltel..yuk. Anyway, since I am being sold to a regional carrier is there any way that I can transfer my 3 lines to Cingular and not have an ETF on them?

Thanks
John

You may be able to cancel with no ETF due to a major change in service (sell-off). Read something like this in an earlier post.

That's what I am thinking as well. However, it will probably not be allowed until Alltel officially closes on the deal sometime in teh 1st quarter of 2005.

A letter is usually mailed out to the customers of the old provider (in this case AWS), or it may possibly appear as a message on your monthly invoice.

Now, what this means in regards to porting your numbers, I don't know. You may be able to cancel the service w/o and ETF, but you may not be able to port the numbers.

Just be patient and stay tuned. Nothing is happening until the deal officially closes.
