Open to any questions and inside info on how to get the best out the warranty system.

( Diff make and model exchange , upgraded models at no extra charge, warranty handset charge list, etc etc)

Remember I am one of you, I just work for them!

Yeah - I was thinking that too.

It was on the same memo that said home chargers would be covered too... I still have customers who call in and are told they're not.

The memo wasn't that they'd all come with that now, it was that they were now covered under warranty.

Before, XBM only covered the unit and they had to replace the charger and battery at the place of purchase. Now they do exchange those through XBM, yet sadly most of the reps I've talked to about it are clueless that they now have this as a part of their job description.

This is true. They are covered if the phone is still under warranty!

That memo is confusing :p

Nope sorry I do not know about that memo, I can verify that we do not ship back covers and batterys with warranty exchanges though. Batterys and other accessories are covered under the Accessories Exchange department

Log into CSP and then search for article ID myc_eqp_eqc_wex_65227

As af May 15th 2007 all in-box items are covered by XBM.

The Warranty Exchange (XBM) program has been modified to include in-box accessories such as batteries and home chargers. In-box accessories have been handled inconsistently in the past and the customer experience needs to be improved. This new update to the program will improve the customer experience and dramatically reduce the cost of the Warranty Exchange program.

If you're doing a search for just the general text try the phrase "xbm in box" that pulled it up for me on mycsp, but sadly I know they give us all access to different materials.

They'll only do like for like, unless you've had 2 or more (legitimate) exchanges.

Correction, csp is wrong. XBM handles ONLY handset replacements. Our Accessory Warrenty Department can handle replacing most in-box accessories(house charger, battery, some wired earbuds). Tho you cant call Accessory XBM directly, there is only an internal number used by XBM.

(btw, trying to cheat the system will only get you laughed at, we can always tell between legitimate exchange reasons and false ones, and even worse i know some agents that will flag your account if you try and pull a fast one.)

If a customer comes in my stores and says they're going to intentionally damage their phone for insurance or make a false warranty claim, I always notate their account. If they're stupid enough to say that in front of me you can be damn sure I'm gonna do my job and see them SOL.

On that, so the customer calls XBM and you transfer them to that department of XBM? That doesn't sound like CSP is wrong. The customer st...

csp is wrong in the sense that the wording makes others think that xbm handles the battery.

Well you said yourself that they have to call you and then you transfer them. And they're still XBM, right? They're accessory XBM and you're handset.

Yeah I guess that makes sense, its still XBM. Except XBM= Exchange by mail, and under accessory replacements there is no exchange taking place at all! (they just get sent a new accessory)

This boggles my mind!

Accessory Exchange Agents= XBM Agents = True

( Most accessory agents are actually linked to Escalations 😡 )

Indeed, I can tell when people are lying. I accually had a woman whos LDI was activated, and when I informed her what this meant, she was like

Cu: No I said It was White! I said White!
Me: Ma'am I clearly heard you say red, you actually said it was red twice.

Cu: Your wrong. I said white.

Me: (Mute button=on) Dumb Fkkkn beech is trying to lie to me! We'll see who's cheatin who when you receive a fatty oow fee! bwahaha
