iPhone drops $200
Apple is dropping the price of the 8G iPhone by $200 and discontinuing the 4G iPhone altogether. When will the at&t site put this huge news up I wonder? There's going to be a few irate customers out there when this news goes wide release.

Oh wow. i just read it on Gizmodo. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/apple/8gb-iphone-p rice-cut-by-200-4gb-iphone-gone-296705.php
...
Wow, you think they would inform their employees 🤨
BS
...
Not surprised. Apple LOVES to do this kinda thing. They just don't usually do it this soon.
...
They usually do this when they have something new coming out.
...
Its not all that surprising really if you think about it. at&t by not letting anyone but core stores sell the Iphone left out over 75% of its distribution and by not carrying the Iphone we were forced to sell against it and they failed to even come close to the projected number of phones that they wanted to move.

Man..if I had just recently bought the 8G iPhone, I would be PISSED!
...
that's an understatement. I'd go on a rampage of internal anger. I might snap a few pencils in half.

HA HA - I appologize for giving you a hard time.
They HAVE dropped $200 on both models and the 4gb is no longer being made, so when stock runs out - thats it.
Again, im sorry for calling BS on your original post.
...
Oh - and no direct fufillment on the 4gb either.
AT&T is offering a $200 refund if you purchased your iphone after 8/23 and if you still have your original receipt.

No worries... I watched the whole thing unfold from San Francisco via Gizmodo, so I wasn't concerned about whether anyone believed me or not. If Steve says it's so, it's so. New at&t be damned.
Figured they'd let you know eventually.
The Apple Faithful, we listen to all that Jobso has to say b/c we're down like dat.
'Course, we were HOPING to hear about Apple iTunes getting the rights to the entire Beatles catalog that was going to be pre-loaded on a bright yellow (submarine) special edition iPod. But alas, no such luck. Only new iPhone pricing and an entire new line of iPods...
