Questions upon Upgrading

My SE-616 was looking tattered though. Since I qualified for upgrade, last week I bought the Moto-551, but it's a love/hate relationship. The camera is nice, the screen is nice, the digits are easy to read, and the video is cute. But, I think hate is predominant, mainly because the menus seem to run deeper and the select (or yes) buttons seem to swap sides willy-nilly - not easy to memorize for clicking without looking - I find it frustrating.

Hoping for help on these questions from some of you knowledgeable reps:

1. Within 30 days, I can return this phone for full refund? Can I just use my old phone and reserve the upgrade credit for a few months? Will I keep the new SIM or will they switch me back to my old one?

How can you test and play with the store phones when they are all dummies...or at least in the store near my area. I mean, you can play with the buttons, but nothing is active on the screen. Is this something new, like they for the Cingular phones at Best Buy?

I have a corporate Cingular store near me that is supposed to have a "live" bar so you can sample the phones. For the last 6 months they have had nothing but broken dummie phones with missing keys and most of the time there are only 3 or 4 phones on display...the rest of the slots are empty....with just description cards....this is no way to conduct a professional business!!! the store is missing alot of inventory from its shelves..etc....I've been doing all my business on-line...or over the phone!!!!

Some stores have "live bars" to where us customers can play with the phones. This is one thing I like about Cingular stores compared to my former cellular company Alltel.

Guess I'll have to find one of those when I'm ready for a new phone. I was actually at a second Cingular store that still has a repair center in it--they were dummies there, too. Maybe things have changed...I'll check it out next time I stop by.

If you now have a T616 and are happy with the phone, you would probably want to go with the T637. My understanding is that the phones are almost exactly alike, except that the T637 has corrected some minor issues with T616. I do not hear complaints about the T637 (and I work in warranty support).
