we tell you to do the same on the verizon board all the time

the i phone is the biggest POS ever known to man kind.....anyone in the industry knows there are far better phones out there for far less a price tag, plus the fact that i phone ripped the idea from LG.

verizon rejected the i phone, and there is alot of good reasons why.

vzw rejected the i phone due to one reason , and that is we could not use our service dept to correct any issues or do fru replacements with the phone.....please get your info straight. the 5 year contract terms mean absolutely nothing, if the device was decent vzw would have signed it in a heart beat.....

regret it?

what for?

apple can keep their junk.

lets keep it objective here

Obviously Apple and at&t did something right, they got so much buzz going around a first generation phone, and everyone has to compare the brand new phones from companies in the biz a long long time to this one phone. They got your attention to keep looking at their products, so yeah they did their job in keeping their name in the back of everyone's head. I thank them cause now other companies have to step up their game. everyone knows in the marketing part, always leave them wanting more, and more, in apples case they did leave a few essential things out, but still got everyone still gleaming their product,no press is bad press.

It was due to multiple reasons, and the fact that VZW couldnt troubleshoot the phone wasnt even close to number one. They couldnt put their "Verizon" logo on it, and they couldnt install any kind of verizon wireless UI.

Bingo!
We have a winner here.
Verizon has to be the most retarded company in business ever. They rejected the iPhone because they wanted to replace the most innovative UI ever created with their POS UI. Not only that, they didnt want to have a long term relationship with Apple. Even if the phone did go to verizon, it would have had 1xrtt so it's not like it would have been a huge advantage over there.
So, "godfather", stop hating on the iPhone. Every reviewer I have ...

Verizon UI on an I Phone? LMAO

thats the best you can come up with? how about the non replacable battery, or the 14 day warranty, or the whoesale cost only, or the the lack of true GPS, the lack of ringtones, the proposterously small keys to text with, the insanely large length of the phone, the 45 million they wanted to research it????

maybe those might clear up some of your clouded perceptions .... the fact that our tech support could not analyze, fru out or repair these devices with simple patches and updates, that was a huge factor though. We pay them for these services and our customers count on them to be there for them. Thats why we do so well with customer service while you guys fail miserably time after time...sort of lik...

I don't know what you have against me. I didn't even know who you were before you posted your retarded rant here.

I hate fanboys of all types whether it's for the best, biggest, smallest, worst, or average company. You're talking about how a phone that isn't even OUT IN A CDMA FORM is better than the iPhone, one of the best marketed wireless devices ever. You really shouldn't talk about dumbness.

I work for VZW and I can tell you what the guys upstair tell us and the truth will never really be known. While VZW may still generate more money we'll never take back the number 1 till we realized the balance of handset line-up, to network reliability, to handset funtionality.

Point is good job getting a device that will only get better with time in a segment of device that growing rapidly.

They don't and won't regret it. Apple is attempting to flex is marketing muscle by selling phones and getting a portion of the revenues. Why do that when you can have LG or some other manufacturer make a better product without doing all that?

Which model are we talking about here? Every time you VZW fan boys come on here and badger on about the Iphone you talk about the current model. ATT has a 5 year agreement. There is already a suggested time release on a 3G model. Within the first year of an Iphone release we will have our 3G model.

wow I just amazed at all of this. Laughing my a$$ off here. Everyone is just bashing Apple on their very first attempt at the cell phone game comparing them to other cellphone giant such as LG. I mean geez, if they have all this attention on one phone, a first generation phone at that, i just can't wait to see what they come out with next. cause LG, sorry has a bad history of putting out some really really crappy phones that were supposed to have high expectations and considering this their first shot at a Window Mobile device, i really would'nt put too many eggs in that basket, but who knows till it actually hits the network under the real stress.

"Every time we see this thing, we forget what the iPhone is, if but for just a moment. Between the integrated FM radio, HSDPA, stereo Bluetooth, microSD expansion, 3 inch touchscreen with the Prada's stellar interface, tight YouTube integration, and 5 megapixel cam with xenon flash, LG's upcoming KU990 looks fit to take on all challengers. It comes in at 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 millimeters, making it about a centimeter shorter, half...

and that is supposed to mean something? it also says the phone has hspda. Verizon doesn't offer that. Vodaphone does in its international gsm markets and at&t does in the U.S.A Maybe at&t will get it then. You shouldn't assume everything vodaphone does means verizon does it.

You have a point hence...the treo 750 started at vodaphone then made its way to att. But it has already been stated by verizon it was releasing a Iphone killer by LG with a familiar form factor as the Prada but without the prada Name. So now all fingers point to this being the Verizon Iphone "killer" phone. So its not really an assumption...

hello Phonescoop this is my 1st post here 😁

just to correct xohm... from a previous post.

Vodaphone does not own VZW. It only holds a 45% of Verizon shares ( which VWZ was trying to buy back last month but Vodaphone did not want to let go of it).....So please do a little research before you post. Moving on..... Me for one would like to see the so called LG's KU990 come to the states will it be for VZW maybe, but just because Vodaphone carries a phone does not mean VZW will....The iPhone is looking good to be released by Vodaphone overseas!! In any case we all like to see all the feud going on with AT&T and VZW. We will have to wait and...

the i phone killer has been out......go check on the lg 9400

it is 50 times better than an i phone, real GPS, music downloads over the air, mobile TV service which is sick, mobile web browsing the "real web" with our new google integration, mobile email so i can really see my email, aim , the ability to change my ringtones and get a new battery..

all for 100 bucks....thats a wrap.

if sprint can out do ATT and VZW then my hat is off. Releasing just four cities is tough to claim that Wimaxx will be better. It's just like releasing Windows Vista when the world doesn't need Windows Vista just yet. It will, but not now. Hey, healthy competition is what we need here in the states. Hats off to ATT and VZW for tying for the least dropped calls. Remember: This is Generation 1 for the iPhone, Apple is one of the best at marketing their products, and we have 5 more years of innovation that youn know apple has been planning for awhile that belongs to ONE carrier. Sorry VZ but big mistake in passing a sure thing that will pay out for years to come regardless of EDGE, 3G, or WiMaxx.
