Phone Prices
When a particular model's price drops such as the 2yr contract price, does it affects the price without a contract? Does that price too drop? Just curious....
FYI even with the renewal the comp. still loses money so don't expect much w/out the contract 😈

no contract means no discount with the phones , i mean thats only fair, you want a discount and the only way to recoup some of the loss is from guarenteed revenue through renewals.

Sorry for asking 😢 was just curious on how they dropped prices regarding discontinued phones. The Cingular store over by where I work seemed to drop prices on those phones whether or not you are buying it with or w/o a contract.

Question to any Cingular rep or those who can answer it.

usually it does. but the only time you'll find a "significant" discount though is when a phone sold so little that there is a lot left in stock. usually phones sell pretty good, so the price drops are usually only $50 or less on no contract pricing at the end of life.
