Hello, I returned the Curve and the leather case with Customer Service approval within a few days. (I established a new line when all I wanted was an upgrade. Was technically unable to allow me to transfer SIM card since I was old blue.) Film was still on the display, etc. Sent FedX and confirmed received on June 18. Still no credit back to my charge card. Associate says takes up to 8 weeks, they confirmed with warehouse it was received, but don't know why not credited yet. Also said may not get credit for case, even though was returned in same box it came in. They just record the phone as returned. Been dealing with Premiere Reps put in touch with when want to cancel service. They're empathetic but won't force through a credit. What do I ...

Alls I can say is good luck because let me tell you i have sent phones back and they (cingular/att) never refunded me. and just like you said they still had the plastic on them and they were personally sent out by fed ex. I would call cingular and they would act like I was crazy. I have learned that ordering phones online or through the 1-800 number is NOT the way to go. Drive your self to the store and pick up your phone there that way any refunds or problems that may arise with that phone can be taken care of right there in the store. Awhile were on the subject of not getting our money back I want to talk about those mail in rebates. Do you know how many of those things I have sent out and never got back? Maybe out of 10 phones in my time ...

Because only 25% of people send rebates and a portion of them don't do it correctly. If everyone wanted the after rebate price upfront there would be some sacrafices somewhere like poor pay for reps or slower network upgrades due to lack of funds(I don't know for sure here just guessing) The phones are already subsidized once a larger subsidy would hurt profitability and a companies number one responsibility is to guarrantee profitibiity to its shar holders.

HEre's my idea. How about no more contracts and you pay retail cost for the phones!

umm no? thats okay. Cingular..sorry att is the only carrier that works in my area anyway so contracts are whatever. And i like paying the 2yr contract price much better than paying retail. think about it. a crappy nokia would cost 200 dollars instead of 19.99

I have never NOT gotten a rebate. Everyone I have sent in with Cingular/ATT I have got back. That's 10 phones. I think that some of the reciepts are misleading to the rebate company. A guy just brought one in and because the reciept said that he got a instore $150 that he shouldn't get another rebate. Had to call customer service to get the rebate credited to his account.

Protest the charges with your CC company. That is the best and fastest way to get your money back.
