Dazed and Confused

Went to the Cingular store here in Johnson City, TN yesterday. They only had about 8 maybe 9 phones (not that big of a selections if you're wanting a camera phone). So I decided to stop in at the Cingular store in Greeneville, TN on my way to work this morning. OMG, they had like a slew of cute, sleek, and working model phones. Hate those plastic non functional models.

Now the hard part hits me. Trying to figure out which phone would be the better phone (not based on just looks, but also call quality).

So headed back here to PhoneScoop to see if anyone could help me decipher the good, the bad, and the indifferent about the following phones:

1. LG L1200
2. LG L1400
3. Motorola V220
4. Motorola V400
5. Nokia 6230
6. Samsung p...

Stay away from the Samsung p107, if they have the e-317, that's a good phone, but not the p107... V400 is not bad, but don't get the v220. 6230 is great, one of the best, but a smaller screen... Overall, if you're not going to be using Bluetooth, the LG1400 would be by far the best deal...

I agree with everything, but if you decide on the V400, I'd wait another two weeks for the V551

I can personally agree with ralph_on_me on the v551, BUT if bluetooth and data usage aren't big issues for ya, the v400 will see a price reduction and will basically be the same phone. IF those things aren't important to you, get the v400, if you want them go for the v551.

As for the LG L1400, I haven't had a chance to check it out, but if it's like other LG's that I HAVE had a chance to use, you won't be disappointed.

I will be visiting and possibly moving to Long Island, New York.
Does anyone on this forum live in either Nassua or Suffolk counties ON LongIsland? For those who have never heard of that island, it lies east of Manhatten, New York. The area codes in those two counties are 631 and 516.
People have told there are towers there, I WANT hear from people who actually use Cingular wireless there.
I find it hard to beleive that there isn't anyone from there on this forum.
(Location wise Long Island is roughly 120 miles long and about 10 to 20 miles wide) I'm not interested in the N.Y. City part.
If you use Cingular in the area mentioned above I would really appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.

I'm a Nokia girl, so I would personally go with the 6230. Plus, having owned Motorolas that were pieces of crap, I would steer clear of anything that has the word "Motorola" attached to it.
