An no insurance to boot 😁 😁 😁 😁

Seriously whats so good about a second iPod? (Whats so good about a 1st one. Especially if your downloads are AAC format. You are stuck.

The smart cookies did all their downloads in MP3 format so they could move their libraries where ever they want to in the future

Its a friggin phone get over it. I am always amazed at how the 50 somethings in their corporate offices can lead the 20 somethings around by their noses marketing an image THEY profit from at your expense. Who says youth are independent thinkers.

The majority are not. the rest are wearing $20 T-Shirts with Hollister on the front 🤣

how did you know there wouldn't be insurance?

usually Apple offers insurance on all of their products

I don't expect them to insure a phone mostly kids will want. If they do it will be for at least 25% of the cost per year which is a terrible financial choice to make,

In two years the phone will cost $200 or less (see RAZR) Bleeding edge Phones are a terrible purchase and the "wow factor" is very short lived.

Again see RAZR)

Madison Avenue rules the youth though like lemmings they all seek the same goods yet claim independence.........Needing to be accepted is powerful and very expensive for those who seek and need prestige and the approval of others

LOL Its the latest fad the boys on Madison Avenue fed you kids. Like lemmings you guys ran to the store and plucked down good money for a T-Shirt a 5 year old could have made.

There are a group of 50 somethings laughing all the way to the bank.

Can you kids be individual at all? Or do you HAVE to be like each other.

What the hell is Madison avenue, and also, I don't care. Hollister actually isn't that expensive. You can get some sick shirts for like 20 bucks, and I'm pretty sure that's the average price of a shirt these days. Unless you think we should all have a bit more individuality and all buy 5 packs of white fruit of the loom t-shirts from Wal-Mart?

It's the Ab & Fitch and Guess that is ridiculously expensive.

I have no desire for one, but I think that it will bring some cool concepts to the cell phone market. Maybe we will see some of its technology leak into other cell phones.

every damn day, i want the iphone, when is it coming out, how much is it, etc.

I have had three returns this month alone because everyone wants this new load in Steve Jobs pants....except they don't want to pay for it. Most think they can finagle a discount when they open new service...but that's why only COR stores will be carring it, because apple does not want any increases or decreases in the price. PERIOD. It will NEVER drop in price. And it will NEVER be in agent stores. It's cool though most Mac people are annoying and smug and think there $h!t don't stink, so I'm OK with not having to deal with these people. Oh I hope I did not hurt anybodys feelings with that, how will I sleep at night knowing that I pissed off a bunch...

Sony is a phone first, a toy second. Thats why I have always preferred the Sonys.

IPod market has become saturated. Many have realized DRM is not the way to buy music. AAC is not transferable to anything but an iPod.

Apple had to come up with a way to sell it all over again, this time having instant downloads of their DRM AAC proprietary music. I don't think it will be as big a seller as the RAZR.

But people easily led by their noses and their neighbors. Apple is banking on that. Its probably a decent wager.

If you look on Yahoo Answers, the iPhone takes up 90% of what people are talking about. I didn't think it was going to sell very well because of the price. Looking at what the population is saying about it, I might be wrong.

I have to believe they are not mature adults who asking those questions about a $600 cell phone music player.

BlackBerrys yeah they do have a function many use for the price but an Ipod cell Phone has to be marketed towards the iPod set. who will be charging it constantly.

I just don't see the allure. But Im not Steve Jobs.....

Where is the mandate that you need drm to listen to music on your iPod? It plays Mp3s.. and the Itunesplus(DRM Free) tracks will play in 90% of all mp3 players..as 90% will play standard AAC tracks..

Thanks for trolling though..

iTunes plus is very new. APRIL 2, 2007 New.

There are thousands of players out there that have millions of protected AAC files. They will NOT play in non Apple players.

Most who have the iPod did not use the MP3 format, on the smart ones.

http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/samiljan/2752 »

I would say you have it backwards 90% will not play AAC. In fact Non of Creatives players will play AAC downloads before April 2 2007

Neither will SANSA, Iriver, Songs purchased from the iTunes Store are encoded using the AAC Protected format and cannot be converted to MP3 format. You can burn them to audio CDs and play them in consumer audio CD players

OF course the lemmings who bought the iPod are stuck with tunes they have to try to co...

dude that doesnt matter, the majority of people do not send pics through email on their phone, mms is easier and more common. sending mms to a phone number is easier and more accessible for the receiver than email. for spending $500-$600 you should have mms and gps.

If you say so.. I guess I am too old to have gotten caught up in the MMS craze..same goes for everyone I know over the age of 25.. I guess its all the rage with the kiddies.

As for GPS.. how great is gps intergrated into a phone? Every review of the N95 says its so so at best.. personally I would rather a seperate gps device that works great and doesn't drain the battery to my phone

Well for navigation I agree, but for points of interest, it comes in handy, and what is the point of having built in google maps without GPS. The demo is fine and dandy on the adds, but what the hell good is it for if you are somewhere you are not familiar with and want to find a restaurant or gas station, what are they supposed to do, put in the address into the phone when they don't have a good idea where they are. So Google maps is a waste on a phone if you can't use GPS

This iPhone price will NEVER come down as it shouln't. Apple will release cheaper iPhones over time with less features as it has done with the iPod.

Hummm. The original black & white iPod was $500 and it could only hold 1000-1500 songs. There was plently of MP3 players out there at that time as well...Mike, Creative, etc but they all sucked. Everyone said it was too exenpsive & that there was no competition.

They were all wrong then as they are now. Everyone will want this phone as everyone wants iPods. Why spend $400 on a video iPod when you can spend a little more & get a phone, a iPod, a Google Maps, real email, real web browser, a photo album, & a camera.

I guess Apple will sell 100,000,000 of these just like the overp...
