Prepaid iPhones!
I work in prepaid support and I read the enclosed article and nearly had a heart attack. The iPhone MAY be coming to prepaid. The iPhone will be $500-$600 depending on the memory WITH a contract. How much would it be for prepaid? $1000-$1200? Come on. Really? Who is going to pay $1000 for a phone? Oh, yeah. People are stupid. They will buy it. The other thing that confuses me about prepaid iPhones is that prepaid customers are not supposed to have data devices on their accounts. Using a full web browser will eat your prepaid balance up faster than you can say MEdia Net. I saw a guy with a Blackjack who used $100 within 15 minutes. CSP contradicts itself on this point though. I seriously doubt the iPhone will be available on prepaid, although, I have seen these codes in the system. I wouldn't link them to prepaid calling plans, but maybe a prepaid data option? Either way this report looks dubious at best.

Because they're a lot more likely to activate high end smartphones and pda's on prepaid accounts than your average prepaid customer.

Sadly, when prepaid iPhones were brought up during training the FIRST thing that came to mind was drug dealers. And I wasn't the only one in class to think of that.

Exactly! I used to have a Nokia 6682 Smartphone and I, by NO means, am a drug dealer.
