Any other reps tired of hearing "I have dropped calls"???

Ever since Cingular has become the new AT&T and the network is being "switched over", I've gotten that many more calls from customers complaining about dropped calls. 👿 Irritating! And I know it has to do with that, cuz as of today all I'm hearing is that it started 2 months ago....well yeah. Why cant Cingular be so kind to let their customers know we are updating networks and towers and just to bear with them for awhile? Cuz its Cingular...'nough said. But really, anyone else as irritated as I am??

you must be a clueless rep

we aren't switching the network over that heppened back in 05
when att wireless was obtained

we might be transitioning to 3g access in your area but thats bout it

plus u forgot something no one said we had NO dropped calls they said FEWEST DROPPED CALLS

stop lying to customers if u are about how the merger is causing the dropped calls

use MTI map tool and help your customers out and show them there motorola razor phone is the problem not our network 😁

dude, wth? The two people you're ripping on were AGREEING with you and commenting on the original post, not in response to what you said.

Any rep with half a brain will agree with what you said in your initial comment. The only reason people started complaining two months ago is because the adds started running and now everyone notices their one dropped call a month and wants something free for it.

Now, please notice the chain of the threads. Ash and Chainsaw are nested at the same level as your comment. Only the ones indented inside and directly below your comment are in response to what you've said. You can also look at the post you're reading and right above it a notation says "In response to:" and includes the name of the post...

No matter what is going on with the switch from Cingular to at&t I knew there was going to be problems. This is why since November 2006 I switched to Sprint. Last month I switched to T-Mobile and after you guys are done I will switch back.

I was with Cingular for many years and had to try these other companies to find out if I was missing anything.

Sprint has some real cool phones.

T-Mobile has great prices, the best.

at&t(Cingular) has the best signal period. I had bars on my cingular phone in buildings and places that amazed me. So many times I was with friends that had phones from other carriers and I was the only one with a signal.

AND...

you guys should calm down and be nicer to each other.

There isn't a network switch-over with this one though. All of the integration began with the at&t wireless purchase and is complete in many areas (but not all). On the customer facing side of things, this is just a name change.

If you want to discuss issues with other reps, please take that up in the "Shop Talk" forum.

I will, however, add my two cents and say that i don't believe the new AT&T has switched any towers, just names, as they drop the Cingular brand. at least that's what their telling us. so i don't believe the problem is technical. HOWEVER it could be that people expect more from the at&t brand than the cingular brand. so now they're complaining about dropped calls they might have tolerated before. either that or it's all that cingular advertising about having the "fewest dropped calls."
