Which Company Is The Best?
I live in Dayton, Ohio, a small town near Columbus and Cincinnati. I am currently with T-Mobile. Haven't had too many problems with them, but I wanted to venture out to find the best possible service, with the most minutes, at the lowest price. I've been thinking about switching to either Verizon or Cingular.
I'm iffy about Verizon, however. They don't offer nearly as many Daytime Minutes as the other companies. (800 Minutes for $59.99?, I think that's too much.) I have 1000 Anytime Minutes with T-Mobile for just $39.99.
Cingular is appealing to me because they have Rollover and over as many minutes as T-Mobile does. But, I don't know how their service/reception/signal strength compares to T-Mobile.
Could someone help me?

To be honest I have had Verizon and the service in Ohio is good, but I'm not a big fan of their plans or even the phones, which none of them have SIM cards. I also have used At&t service's which are soon to be Cingular and like both their plans and phones. Just from personal experience I would say go with Cingular over Verizon, if your looking for more minutes and good features and phones.

What you could try is take advantage of Cingulars buyers remorse to take the phone on your daily routine. Then if you decide to keep it drop your T-Mobile. If not just go back to your T-Mobile. And if you want to take your T-Mobile number then just keep the Cingular active, the T-Mobile active, and then ask Cingular to port your number into them.

I was thinking the same thing, amuser35. I have been doing some extensive research on both Verizon and Cingular. That was another thing I forgot to point out. I agree with you on your comment that Verizon doesn't have a very appealing phone selection. They actually pretty much suck...lol.
The only phone I would even remotely consider, would be the Moto V710. But, after all the user reviews I've read about it, I declined on that idea, as well.
So, I think I'll be happy going to Cingular.
Question?: What is this you say about AT&T going to Cingular?
Thanks for the response.

At&t is being bought by Cingular. So they will be merging together. Not really positive when this will all take place its been in discussion for a while. Though it seems like at the end of the month a little bit later. So once this merger happens Cingular should be the largest Wireless provider in the Nation.

Ooooo...ok. I see. I heard AT&T has a pretty good service, as well. That should be good for Cingular customers, then. Thanks for the info.
