Cingular kicked me off thier service! LOL!!!

I guess its my fault that my phone roams off of TMobile just about everywhere in Queen Creek Arizona because thier network is so poorly built out here. I just recieved a letter telling me I am being cancelled off thier network because of excessive roaming usage. Cingular is a freakin joke because you cant tell if your roaming off network, the phone always says Cingular regardless. Secondly, I live in zip code 85242 which is supposedly inside Cingulars coverage area so its not like I pulled one over on them and gave them a phony address just to get the service and then purposely use the phone off network. Cingular is a Bush League carrier and Im actually a little glad that I have to find another service provider.

So do they charge you an ETF? or do you have to pay that last bill?? this is high comedy basically what they told you is that it costs them more for your phone to roam than you pay them monthly how are they number 1 again??

This doesnt happen to all customers, only a very small percentage. Most carriers do it, and ALL carriers have verbage in their TOS describing off network usage.

I have alost of customers in a certain point in ohio where cingy and tmo have the same coverage area (share the same towers) I spoke with a tmo engineer and he said they have the towers cranked and it overlaps cingys towers causing EON . I got a customer that lived 2 miles from the cingy retail store and got a EON letter in this instance I recommend calling in and speaking with EON team They can block you from other carriers towers

I think there's more to the story than what I have read here. He could had asked customer service to put the 4EON (If I remember correctly) code on his account. This code will tell him when he's using a diff network...
About the T-Mobile thing, I really doubt that he would roam (especially in Arizona) with T-Mobile... More than likely he roams with whatever regional GSM network they have over there.
