The customer is not always right!

Has anybody ever run into the customer that comes into the store, tells you there is something wrong with a phone or accessory and just expects you to take their word for it? It drives me crazy. Then they get mad at me because I do some tests to check if there actually is a problem. Then, if for some reason I prove that there is nothing wrong, they rant and rave that Cingular sucks. I just had one of those customers and had to vent a little bit.

I love the customers who start out the conversation with "the phone has never been wet". Uh huh... sure, ma'am... That's why the battery looks like that.

yeah....try being in warranty and dealing with it. you troubleshoot the phone...and if you can't duplicate the issue and tell them to call back if it happens again, they FLIP!!

i have told many ppl, "I am not saying this situation isnt happening, but if it can't duplicate it in the store there isnt anything i can do" then they commence to argue with me. of course alot of them start off with the phrase, "I have never gotten it wet or anything". then you look at the charging port and see green corrosion, so if they persist that it hasn't, i tell them to take it to our other location that is about 2 miles away that has a tech and he can take it apart and give them a definitive answer if it was wet or not. in the end i think all cell phones companys have one thing in common,
Customers leaving the store hating whoever they are with and making it very clear they are going to another company 🤣

lol...well don't even get me started about the puerto ricans that call into warranty. you always know when its one cuz you ask for the area code and every single time they'll give you the zip code. it's amazing, but always gives me a little giggle 🤣

You and AgentSteffen are bigots! I did not take any surveys but I am willing to bet you have more white people complain and try to "get over" on Cingular. Why don't both of you stick to the topic and make comments like educated people are expected to?

I never said anything racist....so you need to calm down. I never said white people are worst or aren't complainers....I never even said anything about customers complaining! we're talking about the funny things we deal with at work every day. so get over it.

Im sorry you feel that way, as Texas staed i never said anything racist, i mean i guess you could take it that way but its 100% true EVERY single Jamaican says that, sorry if you thought it was racist. By the way the topic is "The customer is not always right" so stop pulling the race card becasue you think it makes you feel big to call us racists, especially when nothing about race had to do with it.

If race has nothing to do with it, then why did you and Texas MENTION race (or nationality or whatever the case may be)? You could have just talked about CUSTOMERS who complain about taxes, or CUSTOMERS who give the zip instead of area code. Really, you don't always know exactly where the...

Maybe cuz it's those CUSTOMERS that do it EVERY time, ALL the time. And actually, yes, we would know where they're from considering we have their information....uncluding the address. 🤨 Nationality of someone is one thing, which, in a way, is what we were talking about. But nothing we said was ever racist...which was the complaint. In reality...the 2 of you complaining are racist. what makes either of you even THINK me or Steffen ARE white? You're just assuming.
