coverage, and roll over minutes would be the main difference, did you check the coverage from your house?

Go on a Nation 450 with Rollover, Unlimited mobile to mobile and 5000 nights and weekends. $39.99a month. Add the $14.99 Media Works or a Media Max plan if your using more than that.

I pretty sure Sprint74 isn't comparing plans, if so Sprint has the plan you mention beat. With Sprint's $39.99 Power plan, you get 450 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, starting at 7pm, mobile to mobile, and for $15 more, add unlimited Vision or Power Vision (data wap browsing). It's all based on who's going to work in Sprint74's area. What good is a plan, if Sprint74 can't use it? Cheers. 😉

well it makes sense somewhat, yes it is $5 more for the unl data, but that yields you, UNL mobile email, cingular video, Google Maps, and internet browsing...

As far as the voice side of the plan, you need to look at who you will be calling, both Mobile-to-mobile's are not equal(how many people can you call for free?), the 450 minutes are not equal either..due to the factv you can keep what you don't use with cingy for up to a year...sprint said he only needed about 450 minutes a month so i don't think the 7-7 is that big of a deal for him but if it is, then add the 7-7 feature to your plan. Plus you will have more capabilities with your phones w/cingy....you can get away w/tethering depending on how much you use fro the 19.99/month....y...

Yeah... actually... your internet is slower than ours. You might wanna look deeper than your tv adds. Cingular EDGE is not UMTS/HSDPA.

I dated a girl with Sprint once. Are you guys still using that queer web-text stuff or can you check your texts without logging into the internet now and get them from other carriers and still have it count in your texting package?

How many of your handsets are HSDPA?

Is your flagship iphone going to have HSDPA? That's right, no, no it won't.

Anyway HSDPA is running at the same speeds as EV-DO Rev A, not faster.

But to answer your question about text, Sprint did away with web based text years ago as did Nextel. Don't you guys shop your competitors?

We have competitors?

EV-DO Rev A is running at 3.6 Mbps? That's surprising news. About 50% of our handsets are HSDPA, how many of yours are Rev A? Will your data speeds be at 7.2 Mbps by years end? Will they be at 28 Mbps next year?

3.6 is your PEAK and Rev A does run around that at PEAK.

and our peak will be 7.2 by the end of this year, and 28 by the end of next year. You're not faster than us. At the best you're equal to us, and not for long.

that's why i think the iphone needs a revision...but nevertheless is will have wifi.

at the moment cingy has faster speeds, and at best sprint can yield the same speeds, but cingular will take the lead as far as speeds go this year, which i am very happy about, with the expansion of HSPA+ next year they will get 28 Mbps next year and 11 Mbps uploads.

As far as sprint goes, they will be busy trying to pioneer the way with WiMAX, starting with only a couple markets....I forsee them having many difficulties trying to to get the system working fluidly transitioning from CDMA to WiMAX......I believe the concept is great, but let them figure it out by spending the billions and once they've figured it out and its all its cracked up to be, and...

WOW, Sprint doesn't have faster data? Please inform and educate me on Cingular's faster data network? I'm very curious to know your thoughts. Thanks in advance. Rollover is good if you're not using all of your minutes and decide to use the minutes another month or so. Most consumers pick the amount of minutes the consumers going to use, I don't believe a consumer is depending on Rollover; and YES mobile to mobile is a BIG advantage. Sprint to Sprint or Cingular to Cingular. I know with Sprint, you can back date a plan to a higher minute plan if a Sprint customer has exceeded their anytime minutes. Sprint customers have to call before the end of their billing cycle. If not, the Sprint customer can buy (not Fair and Flex plans) 100 minutes mor...

sure, Cingular is currently operating their highspeed network usind UMTS(HSDPA) technology, not EDGE as your commercials love to play on.....if you notice Sprint wont compare the speeds of the two, only edge to their broadband...not cingy's broadband to Sprints broadband....

The HSDPA currently gets 1.5Mbps relatively consitently wherever i use it, when i was in Orlando,FL they had their network turned up to where i was recieving 3.5~3.6 Mbps....they are expected to update the network(via software update) to yield the 3.6 Mbps everywhere and will have it turned up to 7.2 by years end, going into 2008 HSPA+ will be added which will yiels 28 Mbps down and 11Mbps up......

1.8 that i recieve now is faster then any sprint broadband user rec...

I like how you worded included, NOT includes. Sprint's old Vision plans included unlimited data and text. You can IM or download text apps that allow Sprint customers to use SMS. So you can still get unlimited text with data. There's always a exploit. 😉

Sprint74, pick what works for YOU. If CDMA doesn't work inside your house, GSM doesn't work in your area, etc. Pick what works. I know I stated in Sprint's forum Cingular's prices may be higher, with a patchy network, and crappy customer service. You need to pick on what WORKS and BETTER. If you plan to port your number, I'd advise you to start off with a temporary number from Cingular, and if it doesn't work take your service back. Of coarse find out what Cingular's T&C's are, and return policy is. If Cingular works, then port your Sprint number over. What good is a plan if you can't use it.

Ok...?! I don't get what is so funny about getting a free phone no matter what.

It makes sense because all phones are built to only last 6 months, so you might as well get a free one instead of being a fool and spending a lot of money for one.

LOL. The free phone may be the phone that isn't suitable for EVERY consumer. Not everyone wants the "free" phone. I know everyone would love to get the choice of phone for free. Some consumers may want a camera, PTT, video camera, different OS, etc. You get what you pay for. Different strokes for different folks.
