Best Cingular phone, reception wise.

CellDawg

Hi, CellDawg here. I've been around this site for some time now but just registered. My question is this. I need a new phone and am looking for the best Cingular has as far as reception goes. It would be nice if it had a good camera, bluetooth, and possibly a speaker phone. I don't need a smart phone and don't care what style of phone it is. I've been looking at the Sync, 3125, and now the V3xx. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless! 😁

the sony w810 is great for reception. the v3xx (where I tried it) was good. i'm using a krzr for a demo right now and it's held up like a champ. the sync is a good performer all around.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. NOKIA 6010 is the best for reception.

6010's great....lol, w810i is great too, but my vote would be for the v3xx, great reception and is a very very good performer in all other aspects, everything on this phone seems to be perfected.

Simply outstanding. I'm not very familiar with the 6010 but I'll check it out. It may be better for my wife as she is not into things like this and just wants a phone. We'll see. Thanks!

I agree wholeheartedly. I was a little bit wary of Motorola's reception performance coming from a SE that I never had problems with.

I was in for a nice surprise when I found that Moto's reception was even better with this phone!

Yea the 810 is good, but how do you guys avoid constantly turning on Data Files & Music with those orange keys. My hands are normal, but it is a constant problem. Enough to get rid of the phone sooner than normal. Anybody els have that problem?

I don't have that problem. I have my phone set up on 'automatic lock'

My vote is for the v3xx. The reception is the best I've experienced in a phone and all other aspects of the phone definitely make it a nice little package. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

SE w810. It is the best reception I have had on a phone, and I've had some good reception phones.

Either of the Sony Ericsson phones (w810i if you like bar-style or w300i if you like flip) seem to offer great reception. You sound exactly like me when I was shopping for my next phone. Reception was my highest priority too. After reading tons of reviews and asking a lot of questions on here, I got the SE w300i. I absolutely LOVE it. It's loaded with features and everything works great. The Bluetooth, UI, sound quality, battery life and reception are amazing. The w810i has a better camera and a few extra goodies, but I really prefer flip-phones and the w300i was free at Radio Shack!

I really do thank all of you. It seems I have a decision to make. I'll be taking a look at all the phones mentioned, now for the next 3 weeks, and will let you all know. Cheers to all! 😁
