Thats a big if. Google unlocked gsm phones and get one of those. I've seen unlocked razrs for about $175.

Most stores will not sell you a Go Phone packaged device without activating service for at least one month (OR buying the starter kit). You can let the service go if you like after that initial purchase.

Easiest way is to go to Wal-mart and buy the go phone equipment there because you are able to buy it with out activating. Just open it up and pop in your sim. There may be other retailers that sell them also so check around.
