ATTWS to take over our service - what to expect?
ATTWS will be taking our service area from CellularOne (Rural Cellular Corp) in a swap deal. Based on the press releases, it will happen in "early 2004".
I can't get ATTWS or Rural Cellular to talk to me about it.
So, just curious as to what we can expect in the way ATTWS will deal with our existing plans, rates, etc. Will they offer incentives to get us to sign new contracts (we're out of contract now)? Existing service is straight TDMA at this time.

usually when aws takes over in an area, we try and keep people on a plan that is most like theres, a lot of the time aws creates new plans to place these customers on so you will feel no difference in service. only when you want to change the plan will you notice a difference. and if you are out of contract, you probably will start to receive offers to get you to sign up with a new contract, like rate plans, credits and possibly new phones. just wait and see, you wont notice any difference when we switch.
