you know living on the border doesnt help...we actually start using it every day especially after canadian holidays when they all come down here. then our friends hit us on the back of the head and then we stop

actually.. ain't is now in websters dictonary.. Contraction of am not.
Used also as a contraction for are not, is not, has not, and have not.
Usage Note: Ain't has a long history of controversy. It first appeared in 1778, evolving from an earlier an't, which arose almost a century earlier as a contraction of are not and am not. In fact, ain't arose at the tail end of an era that saw the introduction of a number of our most common contractions, including don't and won't. But while don't and won't eventually became accepted at all levels of speech and writing, ain't was to receive a barrage of criticism in the 19th century for having no set sequence of words from which it can be contracted and for being a “vulgarism,” that is, a term used...

Webster's Dictionary is bunk. They are not words. Just because the majority of the population uses slang does not make those particular combination of letters words. We should not just settle for the lowest common denominator in our society. Doing such will cause the collapse of all moral values and hence the collapse of our society as a whole.

when the poplutation uses a group of letter constantly yes that makes them words. how do you think any words were created? think they were all there from the beginning of time? someone had to say this is a "car" cuz once upon a time there were no cars.. duh!
