Metro Transit is going to cost me my job at this rate. Two of my buses just didnt come. I stood outside in the cold for like 90 mins waiting for the bus. Than I get here and reamed out for being late. Apparently I should spend my whole pay check and take a cab.

Public transportation is for dirty hippies. Get a car, be a man, free yourself from the hellish prison of the city bus schedule.
Nothing gives me more joy that flying past the poor bus kids, going where I want, whenever I want to, and always pulling up at my house evert damn time.

Thanks for your narrow minded jack#$@ opinion. I happen to have a car but its called pollution....sure taking the bus sucks but at least its not just me in my SUV just so I wont be slightly inconvenienced.

I took the bus for 15 years. I've been married for 8 of t hem. last year I said screw it and bought a car.I figure I've done my part for saving the world at the cost of my time and my sanatiy waiting for buses and making sure that everything revoled around the bus. So I got my car. I like the fact that I can go when I or my wife or my kids want to and not have to hope the bus is there on time...course going to work now is different as I can see convergys from my balcony so I walk

Say what you will but every word of my statement is true. Having a car gives you a measure of independence that bus kids will never know.

And I drive a nice, fuel efficient, five speed, car. In my view anyone who owns an SUV, and doesn't have any kind out outdoor or active lifestyle that would support that kind of vehicle, ia a jackass.

That's the way you see it.

I find walking gives me a measure of sanity that car drivers and bus takers will never know.
No frustrating bus schedules. I save hundreds of dollars on insurance and gas. No having a heart attack when gas prices go up. Knowing I'm not polluting at all. Staying fit by exercising every day. Walking + mp3 player = energizing. It's relaxing and lets me blow off steam at the end of the day. Sure. there are some downfalls, but for me, the good outweigh the bad.

Of course, this is only the way I see it.

True, I will give the pedestrians and cyclists props. Nature kicks ass. And on foot, you've got more time to longingly admire the girls of summer.

And walking in the rain is super fun.

And you wacky self propelled transit types are still getting a better deal that the bus kids. You're still on your own schedule, and with all the stops and loops and transfers and junk. The cyclist just might get home before the bus.

*dreamy sigh*
I love walking in the rain.
Splashing through the puddles.
If there's not too much gravel or broken glass, I'll take my shoes/socks right off and walk barefoot.
