Good subject eh?
I am SO ticked off at AT&T and their greediness. I have a BlackJack II, SWEET phone, other than the BS proprietary connectors you have to have...I had a MediaMax 1500 bundle, which is unlimited data, and 1500 messages per month for $30. It has been a great plan...I use the internet to look up miscellaneous stuff, the GPS for directions via google, text when I want to and not worry about a thing....WELL, AT&T found out that I have a BlackJack II and decided that since it is a smart phone they need to charge me more. They told me that my phone was "incompatible" with the MediaMax bundle....WTF is incompatible about it??? I have been using it for 2 months great...NOTHING is incompatible with it except for the fact that its a smart phone, and they figure people with smart phones will use the internet/data features more, so they have to charge them more...Enter the PDA plans meant for PDAs AND smartphones...even though there is no technical difference in the data transfer between my SLVR and my new BlackJackII I am FORCED to pay $30 a month for unlimited data, THEN pay extra for messaging!!!!
What a frickin' crock of BS. My phone has a qwerty keyboard so now I have to pay more for data and messaging. This type of greedy BS makes me so angry. In fact I will canceling all data plans/messaging from all my phones, and the SECOND my contract is up with AT&T I will be switching carriers, if nothing more than out sheer spite for their greedy BS!!!
