Alright folks.. i'm a current verizon customer... lookin to get rid of the beast. I'm considering a switch to att. Anyone know of the roaming agreements (gsm and tdma) with other carriers? How about their network.. how is it in comparison to others. How does the customer service rank? And of course.. what's the best phone in your opinion. Any info is appreciated.. thanks 🙂

Where, in general, do you plan to be using it?
What type of phones do you favor and what features are most important to you?

Etc.

You can get a lotta "Oh it's great" or "Oh it's terrible" but they don't mean much unless they match with your needs.

Mostly the northeast.. around ct, massachusetts, and rhode island. I'm a fan of siemens phones, as well as sony ericsson.. and feature that are important are primarily good quality voice and as good a network as possible. I know that sometimes this is a little hard to come by but it's worth a shot 🙂. I'm currently a vzw customer.. and i have had t-mobile in the past (back when it was voicestream) and their coverage was decent. This leads me to believe that IF at&t has roaming agreements, then everything will be cool. Any ideas anyone? Once again any info is appreciated.

I am on ATTWS in southern Illinois, and I would like to say that their customer service is VERY VERY VERY good. Any time I have had to call them with questions, the hold time has been short, the people are well trained, speak clearly, and are very friendly.

The bills are very simple, and have all charges broken down into an easy to read form.

The coverage here is decent. Just like anyone else, they have areas that are dead, and areas that nobody else covers. Overall it's pretty good.

They have a roaming agreement with First Cellular here, they're a small company that only covers the southern 23 counties of Illinois, but i'm sure they have similar agreements in other areas.

THE SERVICE IN THE NORTHEAST CORRIDOR IS OVERALL ABOVE AVERAGE DUE TO THE COMPETITION FROM OTHER CARRIERS. THE HIGH QUALITY SERVICE LEVEL HAS TO BE MAINTAINED FOR THIS REASON. YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU WILL BE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE RECEPTION AND CLARITY, AS WELL AS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

(SORRY, ALWAYS TYPE IN ALL CAPS...NOT SHOUTING!) 😁
