VocaLabs SectorPulse Report Shows Newcomer T-Mobile Pulling Ahead of Verizon in Customer Service

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug 3, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Newcomer T-Mobile bested two-time winner Verizon (VZ) in Vocal Laboratories' most recent quarterly SectorPulse report for mobile phone carriers measuring the quality of customer care. T-Mobile achieved an "A" ranking in Caller Satisfaction, and a "B" in Call Completion; while Verizon slipped to a "B" in both Caller Satisfaction and Call Completion.

T-Mobile needs to kiss up to their customers so bad because they are in a very tedious position market wise with their tiny weeny network. 😛

They're lucky Cingular is doing the CA/NV network deal, or they'd have almost no west coast coverage once Cingular closes the AWE buyout. That would be the death of them right there. How do you call yourself a national carrier with that big a gap in coverage?

Cingular Wireless today announced it would end its network infrastructure joint venture with T-Mobile USA in New York, California and Nevada. Cingular will sell the California and Nevada network and certain accompanying spectrum to T-Mobile USA for approximately $2.5 billion.
