I gave my 2 cents, and I'm with them. You unfairly generalized them into a catch-all category. And cold transferring is not rude, not from my perspective. Blind transferring, THAT'S rude! Cold transferring is not when a rep calls, gives you the info, then transfers w/o introduction. That is a warm transfer, albeit, an incomplete one. Cold is when you tell the customer you are transferring them, then do it w/o talking to the other rep. I do it all the time, I don't consider it anything but efficient UNLESS the customer has an issue that needs explanation. Then, warm transfer A-WAAAAAAAAAY!
