ATT Customer Service, America's biggest shame

motopaulie

The thing is that u guys from att are doing your jobs wrong, but it's not your fault.
Your trainers, and everybody above u taught u to avoid any responsability regarding technical support, and that's why every single ATT customer i've helped after your COWARD BLIND TRANSFERS, told me u were useless. Shame on ATT, not on u, but anyway...
By the way, i work for motorola, and i am the one who hungs up on your blind transfers, and tells your customers to call 1-877-746-9244 when u, ignoring our policy, tell the customers that we will give them a new phone.
In that case, shame on u, but anyway,...

So, everybody who is thinking about being an ATT customer, Would u trust in a company which buys defective phones and puts them into the market r...

it is a tough answer... it depends on the market. all of the phones for the us market are useless, an they are developed in malaysia or china. examples> v60 and their endless antenna problems, t720 and their problems with the camera and other software failures, v300/v400 with software and programming failures, *one thing> the 'bejewled' game for the v400 misteriouly erases itself, the sim card for the mpx200 gets loose or too tight...*

on the other hand, the phones for the latam market or the european one are made either in mexico, brazil or US, and those ones are flawless. so far, the best ones are the e380 and the c353, which should be going out to the market for t-mobile. i work with a v600 in here, and it is a good one too.

so, being in the U.S you wouldn't recommend any Motorola phones?

mmm... if i were u, i would choose a good service provider instead of a good phone. i mean, a service prov with a good warranty policy, like t-mobile or cingular *not ATT, 4 god's sake!!!*. but any way, one of the phones that works alright is the c353g. also, the t730 for verizon came out quite decently. if u want more luxury, u can pick up either the v525 or the mpx100. one thing>check out the MPX300, with built-in camera, at gsmarena.com. a real beauty.

I sell for all the service providers in Denver (other than Sprint) so I just wanted to get your opinion. I think I'll wait for Verizon to come out with a decent Motorola that I like. I'm thinking about the v710 if it comes out with Verizon.

I use at&t GSM on a dealer line. I'm thinking of either porting to a T-mobile dealer line with a v300 or going over to Verizon on a dealer line. If I go with Verizon, I hope they pick up the v710.

So basically you're admitting that all the US moto phones are faulty with bad software, bad antennas and so on.

And you umm, work for motorola? LOL!

Motopaulie, you, my friend, are an idiot. We cold transfer because it is OUR policy. 40 Second policy, Average Call Handling and etc. Why should we follow your policy, when we don't work for Motorola?

I so agree with that... Nokia phones will always be the best IMO. Problems I've had with other cellular brands (SE, Moto, Ericsson, Panasonic, etc.) i don't have with my Nokia units.

I don't even really like Samsung that much. They aren't THAT bad, but nowhere near as good as any Nokia i own.

I don't like the Nokia phones that Verizon offer. I think At&t has the best line up of Nokia phones right now, but none of them really do it for me. That's just my opinion of course, and I'm a sucker for a flip/clamshell style phone. I don't have that option with Nokia ☹️ I think Nokia's overall easiness to use and durability makes them a great manufacturer for many customers.

Since I want the flip with the color screen and camera, I can't go with a Nokia. I'm starting to like the Audiovox phones that Verizon offers (8900 and 8600).

If Motorola hires people like you, it is no wonder they have such crappy phones. I always try to talk customers out of a Motorola, but if they want it, it is bad business not to sell it to them.

Exactly. Which is why I never even mention the Motorola phone as an available flip phone. Now I can tell my customer's that their own support acknowledges that their equipment is subpar. Too bad they aren't mentioning this to the higher ups that agree to carry their line.

U need some help if ur working for that company that puts out the worlds worst phone. Our customer care center actually discourages the Motorola phones and anyone that wants one I let them know that Motorola has had some major issues with that pieace of S*$#. Warrenty exchange on that phone is a joke and people cancel daily just because Motorola sucks. Im glad you agree that your company produces garbage and then charges 200.00 bucks for it. 🙂

the thing is that we do the same with the ATT service. Any time the customers ask us whether to have a contract with ATT or not, we recommend them not to sign up with ATT at all.

we dont tell the custs that you will give them a new phone, we tell them that if they have a problem with the fon and wish to make a claim under the manufacturers warranty then they must speak with the manuf. Most customers just make the assumption that if the phone is not working that they are entitled to a new one. And yes we will continue to cold transfer to you as long as your IVR continues to take 5 minutes to say thank you for calling motorola. We have no resp for taking any hold time on an external transfer and have the right to make cust call back to you after we end the call but most of us will offer the option of a transfer.
