As if a "normal" day wasn't bad enough...
Last night, which I like to refer to as a little while ago, I got off work at 11:15 pm and got home around midnight. I spent the next 4 1/2 hours playing Shadow of Rome on the PS2. Any other day that wouldn't be an abnormality, however, any other day I wouldn't be back at work at 5:55 am.
I'm not always the most pleasant individual with a full night's rest and 13 hours between shifts. Today I've had no sleep and 7 hours between shifts, AND, I get to do manual labor for a couple hours after I get off. YAY!!! Who knows, maybe I'll end up leaving Convergys a bit sooner than planned depending on how today goes. 😉

I don't know where you are, but here, legally there has to be at least 8 hrs between shifts. Might want to take that to your labour board?? Unless you shift swapped or something and you agreed to have less than 8 hrs between shifts.

It was basically a shift swap. The people that were supposed to open yesterday were pulled for something else, so the supervisors were scrambling around trying to find someone willing to come in to open.

Yeah, I brought it upon myself. I wasn't scheduled to come in that early, but since Halifax is doing our schedules now, they didn't have anyone coming in until 8 and the queue opens at 6 so I agreed to do it. I'm still feeling the effects today but it'll get better I'm sure. All I need is about a month's worth of sleep in a two-day period. 🤣
