Boredom

***legal disclaimer to the queue gods***
this is in no way a complaint regarding the lack of call volume, rather a statement indicative of such.

That being said, it's incredibly slow here and I'm steadily slipping into a conscious coma. Anyone have any interesting calls or anything interesting? [wiping drool from corner of mouth]

I could think of plenty of things. You could call another department (preferrably WEX,Pune to be exact), pose as an executive and then fire the rep. I've always wanted to do that to see if they actually leave.

I think you should play with accents. Talk in a british accent half way through the call...heh. I wonder if the cust would notice.

Switch it up a little...maybe german. or um...jamaican...that would be good.

Every now and then one of us will stand up an announce that a dollar will be given to the next rep who audibly inserts some absurd word into a call. Speaking of Jamaican, "Lordamercy" was one of those 100 cent phrases. Random words really spice up a call.

about the only thing interesting that I have been listening to the past few minutes has been somebody behind me trying to stick it to BEUC for one of their screwups and them having the audacity to give out our number to one of us to try to make up for one of their mistakes! 😡

Yeah I had a lady who wanted us to change a line on her invoice thats stated she had a NSF to something else and then mail her the invoice again.

I told her we cannot do that nor can anyone else. It's impossible to make that kinda change.

HER - "I want someone higher then you who can."

ME - "I am sorry ma'am, they can't do that."

HER - "I want someone higher then them."

ME - "I am sorry ma'am, they can't do that."

HER - "Fine then I want the presidents number."

ME - "I am sorry ma'am, thats not listed."

HER - "Then I will grab it online."

ME - "Good luck calling the president."

End with closing call gone. I laughed so hard after that. If every customer who wished to speak to the president actually had the option...

As a res desk rep I deal with that a lot. The last customer to ask me that happened to catch me on a bad day and I asked him "When was the last time you called a multi-billion dollar company and were transferred directly to the president/CEO" He sat there a moment and attempted to subtly change the subject.

Heheheheee...that is a very good come back. I may save that one for some special call. 2 days ago, I had a lady throw a tantrum. And I dont mean just yelling or swearing. I mean she actually threw a full blown...all out tantrum. She screamed bloody murder, started crying and balling, and screaming...Saying I dont want it anymore (her contract)

Im not even exagerating. She sounded like a 3 year old.

that is SO true; or when they say it really fast and you're like "sorry, what" again and again and THEY start to get mad at YOU, because that makes sense!
