AT&T Wireless (NYSE: AWE) today announced an offer - the first of its kind -- that can give new and current customers on qualifying plans the freedom to make unlimited domestic mobile-to-mobile calls at no charge to any of the company's nearly 22 million customers.
I am not bashing anybody, but how is it the first of its kind when Sprint has been giving out Sprint to Sprint calling with a 2 year agreement for over a year? You can call any Sprint PCS customer anywhere in the country while on the Sprint digital newtwork and never be charged for your minutes. If I am missing something, please let me know. I am not trying to be a smart a$$ or anything, I am just making sure I am reading t...

That's the intel we've been provided. Granted, with special circumstances, I'm sure that Sprint's CSRs have some latitude on what they can give existing customers.
at&t has it on almost all there plans
not individual.
on individual plans you have to ad 6.99 for unlimited mobile2mobile. t-mobile has one advantage one year contracts.
If you have GSM, then you'll be fine. But if you have TDMA (digital) then the unlmtd m2m feature will probably be automatically removed by the system because it is not compatible with the shared plans.
If you're not sure if you have GSM or not, look at your phone....does it contain a SIM card or not? If it does, then you're on GSM.
If for any reason you do have a digital phone, and the shared plan, I would highly recommend calling into customer care and checking on the status of your account, because that rep added something she should not have.
Just trying to help. =)
Good luck you and thanks for choosing AT&T Wireless.
the only down fall is they have to sign a two year agreement. that's where everybody is headed. i wonder if the day will come when it'll be a three year contract????
I think people are starting to realize that to get the deals they want, they are going to have to commit.
I work with several long term AWS employees (mainly trainers now) who have been with the company for 10+ years. And they say that the 1yr/2yr contract requirements go in cycles. The focus will be on 2yr contracts for 1-3yrs, then the focus will go to only 1yr contracts. Just like free phones....
2. what if the company goes down hill
3. what if another company does get better
i conclude by saying alot can happen in 2 years
i will only sigh a 1 year contract
you are stuck with what you have.
I'm more than 100% sure you can change your plan while you are under contract. I'm more than 90% sure that if you change to a promo you extend your contract for a year or two from that point on.
