I Need a Final Answer Once and For All - Thanks

I have a V551 unlocked. I also have a Cingular 64K SIM card. I am currently on an ATTWS plan with an ATTWS SIM card activated using a V505. The Cingular SIM card that I have is also 20 digits in length.

Can I call ATTWS customer service to replace my SIM on my account and activate the 64K SIM? I was told thar Sebel now recognizes Cingular SIMs, though I am not sure if that includes 64K SIMs. I want to get the benefits of the 64K SIM technology without giving up my plan and corporate discounts.

I am also concerned that if they trash my existing SIM and the Congular 64K SIM does not work, I will have no SIM left.

Please assist...

how about 'Don't trash the aws sim, because once that is gone there won't be getting another one, unless you want whatever discounts you can get from cingular. Anything else we can help you with today? No? Well thanks for calling business end user care, you have a great day'.

this answer is no. seibel will not recognize a cingular sim card. usually if the sim number does not begin with 89310380, attws systems will reject it. Most cingular sims start with 8901.

I was also under the impression that some Cingular ICCID's are 19 digits long as opposed to AWS' 20

Sorry. Your best bet is to just use the att sim in the v551. I am a csr- orange and we cant act att sims either. Better be safe then sorry.

In order to get the benefits of the 64k technology, you will need to migrate your acct to the system that supports the 64k technology. Blue does not support it. Orange does.

As for whether you can activate the 64k sim on Blue, my inclination is to say no. Blue care people on this forum have already answered "NO". What answer are you looking for?!

The only sim card you can activate on attws is attws 32k sim cards and thats it, the sims are tottaly different from cingular to att, The only that would happen is when you trash the old att sim to try it, you will burn it out, and you cann't get a replacement since haven't been produced since novemeber.

Any attws products like sims are harder to find then Osama!!!
