suncom - cingular merger/swap out
so, what nice little promotions and stuff will be ofered with this merger to intise people top join or stay?? i hear the whole thing goes live in march??

Not sure, right now what we're doing is giving customers AWS phones and leaving them at that. Once the Suncom divestiture is over with, the customers aren't our problems anymore...

What I read at work yesterday say "projected" for May, and right now, these people stay with the AWS stuff they have until Suncom says otherwise

It really sux that suncom doesn't have any of the same services AWS has!! I had a customer call in a while ago wanting to be able to cancel because suncom doesn't have international service, no data, no Blackberry support. He's one of the business customers that need all of those options and Cingular isn't giving them any options right now. And suncom doesn't know anything about it either. The same guy had called the suncom people and they told him that they didn't know anything about it, just that they were going to be with them in a while. I mean, comeon! At least give them information and options! As far as contracts go, they (i think) are going to be transferred over to suncom and if the customer wants to cancel, he has to pay the ETF.
