Whoever works for ATTWS what do you think about the plans and what do your customers think?

My customers have everything. Cingular is a robbery and they want people to migrate when they are paying $39.99 for 800 min to 1000 min unl N&W unl m2m and early evenings ( to those who don't know that means your N&W start at 7pm) to go over to a Cingular Wireless plans when on their Regional plan you don't get m2m for free. I don't understand why anyone would want to go over I mean if they are on a DOR they get benefits but who wants to pay $9.99 for m2m. When the commercial says anyone w/ CingularWireless or ATTWS can call each other and be m2m. I mean what a rip off and they want us to offer. I don't know why ATTWS merged I hope they have a really good back up plan 😉

AT&T gave away the farm when they gave away so many minutes. No other carrier can offer that much. It was a desparate attempt to keep customers up until the merger went through. Customers with 1000 min for 39.99 should consider themselves VERY lucky. Now, when you want a new phone or different service, you have to come back to the real world and accept NORMAL rate plans.

Cingular does offer rollover tho, something no other carrier offers. It depends on what you need I guess. some people would rather have rollover than early evenings. True, AT&T did start giving away the farm around the time the merger was announced.

Unfortunately, Cingular's rollover promotion isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be. I currently have 400 minutes, I use about 26 of them because most of them are with the MTM or N&W. Rollover doesn't give me much, I would rather have the MTM and N&W vs rollover.

If you have rollover minutes every month, it means you are paying too much for your plan... IMO

well, you know..if you get a lot of rollover you can drop down to a plan that may even be below your usage rate, pay less each month, when your rollover stock runs low, you can just change back to a higher plan and start the process all over again.

Luckily we don't sign up for a new contract each time you change your rateplan,(unless you get a promotion, of course) so this is a pretty easy resolution that I recommend to every customer.

Hm, interesting.

See, it's stuff like this that we were not told in our little 4 hour "training" session. Well, at present, I'm still supporting only blue customers, as we are not doing migrations here and have been trained on none of the orange systems. We get customers over to Care, who supposedly knows more about Cingular plans/policies than we do, to discuss migrations.

The reason i took that plan was to get the N&W and MTM, unfortunately, the lower plans don't offer them. But I think I should lower my plan anyway since I'm not using many minutes anyway.

OK, it was NOT a merger. It was a TAKEOVER of AWS by Cingular. AWS was absorbed and no longer exists.

As far as I am aware, AWS is currently no more, but since AT&T is not a company based solely on the wireless industry, there is the liklihood of them re-emerging in the future. As a wireless provider. Bet on it.
